So my Eve career has turned into gate/station camping which I don't mind for some reason so I want to be on top of kill mails out of a 10+ group. So lock time, alpha, range, drone travel time, actually damage done (not eft damage) need to be taken into account. I'll replace a tank with sb and tp's. Any suggestions?

Doesn't sound very helpful in a team sorta way.


The only way to surefire steal a killmail is to wait until low hull and use high alpha with arties, The only other way is to use a high ROF weapon like Electron blasters or Pulses and pray for a lucky hit.


But you'd benefit your fleet a lot more if you were properly fitted.

Unless your want to be top Damage done, then you just need a Talos polarized and hull tank it. But you'll be whiffed off the field if anyone even looks at your funny.

Off the top of my head polarized are fairly expensive compared to the higher alpha and cheaper long range variant. Plus range.

A talos with blasters would be ideal for high sec group ganks but in low/null when local is full of h8ters I like to stay aligned to something or be in docking range "just incase" so blitzing into range would take away my best option of avoiding any resistance.

Also I didn't even consider a tac destroyer. Short lock time is a nice feature and dps to match

Many years of training to fly will lead to success.

On the topic, I was flying with an open fleet led by a Pandemic Legion FC and was given an Absolution. A buddy of mine from ages ago invited me and always wanted to fly with me so I said yes.

We had a small gang of 25-ish people and ran into a 40-ish people fleet. I was a little behind because I had to get the ship first but I cought up and made it save and sound.
On comms he (the Pandemic Legion FC) called the targets and for a while it looked like we were about to lose our logi. That shouldn't happen and as much as I usually would do what I was told, I made a few different desicions on my part which let to victory - gf everyone.
You can look it up, all of my kills were top damage and final blow with said Absolution, which I have never flown on TQ before but I know my lazors.

Oh and we didn't lose a single ship.

Depends. Blasters generally are expensive since thats the highest possible DPS weapon, so there is demand more there - play to your strengths. I have a nice Polarized foretell fit which is quite nice - the guns are 1.25m/each, nice and cheap imo.

Depends on the situation, but from my experience (mostly roaming and kiting):

- Lasers for top damage as they generally project super well and do 100% of their DPS from the first shot.
- Missiles or Artillery for last hits

it won't do talos dps on paper ( "only 1170" Lol ) but boy the applied dps will be magnificent, you can go tankless and add more tracking computers and tracking enhancers
