So, there I am with a corpmate trying to escalate some fights around our home system, sitting on a hig-sec gate, seeing if anyone is willing to ship up for us.

We know we have 2 stealth bombers watching the gate we're camping, they occasionally de-cloak to try and pop us but they're more of a nuisance than an actual threat, getting largely ignored. Get a shout on comms - "Omen incoming" - Corpmate is in a long point intsa-lock Svipul, I'm in the shield buffer, scram fit. So, need to take care and with our lack of webs it can probably make it back to gate even with his MWD shut off.

Omen jumps in, de-cloaks, corpie tackles but the omen red boxes me....oh really m8? Start loading hail, I'm not even moving, his damage + the bombers aren't really a worry. I check and it's just a long point on me in terms of tackle, haven't agressed yet and close to the high sec gate - many options......and I take the weirdest one ever. Decide I'm going to burn for one of the bombers as he's moving towards me, then come back and kill the Omen. Hit prop mode, overheat my MWD, line myself up and activate - lulz he's not going to know what hit him.

Gate fires, ship uncloaks, a Fiend.....what in the **** is a Fiend? OH! it's an....scram on...I'm 10k from the gate and burning the wrong way. I try and turn it around and coast back to the gate in defensive mode but I know I'm screwed, keep an eye on the tackle icon but I've already flipped my overview to get my pod out.

I'm the Omens first ever kill.

I'm one of less than 400 pilots to have ever got popped by a Fiend.

The bloody SBs are on my KM.
