i am flying balls to the wall, breaking every "rule". i had less then a million isk on me. i spent everything i had on what i am flying, and this was given to me from a corpsmate for (what he doesnt know is literally ) almost every isk i had. i took my last 1 mil isk, went to amarr, and bought the few mods i couldnt take from my battlecruiser to this. i just made an offshoot jack ass comment in local to what that guy was saying, i had no idea you wold be so generous for real. i almost feel bad taking so much isk... the battlecruiser isnt even mine, its a corps. mate (we play together, i gave his some nice set pieces i had lesser stats dupes of in another game), otherwise i would sell it to repay you.

you actually added 3 digits to my acct. i went from 794,496 to 100,794,496. wow, thanks so much. now, i can at least insure this thing! (i have been flying uninsured, and broke! YAY EVE!)

again, thank you so much!!!! i had to tell you, and i hope you read this.

check the journal tab in your wallet (first tab) , it'l be listed as "player donation" with his name on it.

I once had access to a corp hangar with 2 bill in it. Accidentally... He doesn't play anymore which is a shame.



But that doesn't mean that I took it. I did get my hauler shot at by a mining barge once tho, THAT pissed me off. The NERVE on him! Regardless if I stole his ore!.... Now I have a hauler somewhere in EVE fit with combat stuff. In case the situation ever arises again.

Use it wisely.

As an almost 10 year vet, we see noobs and remember our simpler, yet more confused (and interesting) days. I see a noob mining in a rookie ship and I plunk some millions on them.

It's not that big of a deal really. New players will run into much ass-hattery, but they will also meet some of the best people too. It all balances out in the end. And maybe someday you'll remember and you will do the same.

Nice to see the tradition still lives. As a new player I was given 10 million by a player named jelerak. Back in 2004 10 mill was a LOT. Now? not so much :)

I had the same experience, some random dropped 10 million on me within hours of starting to play. that's been paid forward a few times over the years.

I had to pull myself up with my bootstraps and I didn't even have any boots (silent tear)

I've seen all sorts of amusing philanthropy in Eve, when I started one of my alts there was an older player in the newbie system organising a last man standing tournament for characters under 7 days old, he dropped a shitload of fitted frigates at a safespot, put up a sizable prize, told the newbies how to canflip each other for aggro, fleetwarped them in and sat back to watch the show.
