Seriously, the scan res on a svipul with dual sebo (and usually artilleries) is cancer. You think T3s cruisers are OP?

Try 41k EHP on a dessie. And with insta-locking scan res and enough dps to insta-blap frigates, even post-nerf, T3Ds are super OP.

Smack that bad boy with the nerf bat, real hard. 10MN AB fits weren't the only issue with T3Ds post-release, but they're the only one that's been fixed so far.

We can all agree these things are vastly overpowered and require several swings of the nerf bat until they stop twitching.

lol sorry mate, my initial post was a bit unclear. These are two different fits, you can't get them simultaneously. In all fairness though now I'm gonna go EFT warrior that **** to see if you can get both, b/c I get the feeling you might be able to with links.

However you can still get well over 1k scan resolution with the 41k EHP fit, which is ridiculous.

If there's ever a case for outright deletion of a ship class, it's the Svipul.

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.

The whole T3 destroyer was stupid to begin with imo. They have issue balancing ships that can have different configuration swapped when docked/in range of fitting service and decided it would be a great idea to make ship that change their configuration at the drop of a hat with the only requirement being "you havent swapped within the last X seconds".

Totally wasn't gonna generate stupid results...

The funny part about it for me was that they looked at the reviled speed meta we had back then and thought "you know what we need? More stupid-fast, small signature, high dps ships."

And now we have an even worse, more reviled speed meta. See, in video games, there are two major pitfalls when it comes to game balance. Speed, and stealth. CCP has done an excellent job managing stealth, better than most MMOs I have ever encountered.

They suck at managing speed. And what makes it worse is that we already had an example of why speed is toxic in the game's past, the nano era.

They then gave the only mobility tool large ship had to a small ships in a more team oriented package.

vOv yeah idno about the whole command dessie thing. Buuuut in fairness, they often fail and split the fleet because of the 6km range. Svipuls are cancer tho.

insta svips were created to counter ceptors which ccp gave bubble imunity to, b4 that we were using insta thrashers and ofc faction scrammed instalocking stilletto's.

blame ccp. not the ship

Before that, Ishtars were cancer.
Before that, Tengus were cancer.
Before that, Drakes were cancer.
Et cetera.

CCP knows t3ds are over powered. They are taking incremental steps to bring them in line without nerfing them into oblivion like they did with the Drake.

Why are those the only two options? There's no middle ground here?
