Hi all,

I'm just returning to the game after a year or so break. Resuming training on an alt I had planned to put into command ships with max linking skills. From my read of the various dev blogs and forums, it looks like CCP is planning to remove or at least significantly curtail OGB capabilities.

Anyone have any good recommendations on what to move my OGB character into? I live in a C3 WH.

Cheers,

OGB boosting is just as viable as OGB boosting.

Regardless, you may want to add a Command Destroyer to your repertoire though.

Yeah I've already got my boosters into command dessies - he's still a bit off from command ships. I'm not sure how viable on grid boosting is going to be - I'm specifically thinking of sleeper sites, no way a booster character is going to be able to survive on grid without some remote assistance from my main combat ship..

Also check out this blog which discusses how the on-grid boosting is expected to work. http://eveoganda.blogspot.ca/2016/01/on-grid-links.html

Thanks for the link - hadn't realized they were considering making them akin to deployables, very interesting.

Something everyone forgets about making Boosts on grid only, the Grid is now so large that you can warp into a Sleeper site BM 300km off the Sleepers and activate everything, or am I honestly the only one who thought about this? Cause everytime I bring it up, people seem surprised..

that whould have made sense, if one could target past 250km, but that is not the case.

The grid is now 8000km, and it will be very challenging for someone to "sneak" up on your booster once they have landed on grid to shoot you. They will still need to probe you out.
