You have people more interested in egos than listening to directors. You have directors smacktalking in public forums and channels, who then turn around and complain that the plebs in the alliance are following their lead (you lead from the front, and expect that the troops will emulate your actions). You have corporations who vie for dominance with one another, directors incapable of actually putting their foot down and saying, "No."

You have people like Enzee who, quite honestly is a great guy, but not leadership material. A good FC, when it's sitting in scram and web range and beating people to death with a Vindicator. And there's a lot of great people in the alliance like that.

But the truth is, they think they are better than they are. "We're going to disband Marmite." "No one in high sec can match us." They claim to not be afraid of Vendetta or Marmite, but why did Zero drop the dec with Marmite? Because Tora made it clear that if they did, Vendetta would drop the dec against them. They hid behind the claim of, "This alliance doesn't fly well together, and to take on Marmite and disband them we'd need to be better prepared." And yet they do no training ops on the test server save one Sunday, where two hours were devoted to messing around in caps.

You have people like xxDewayne who, being told they weren't the FC and to shut up, decide to mess up the fleet's gank of war targets. In the process of jumping on them, he "forgets" his Nestors on the other side of the gate (he first claimed they got stuck on station), and sacrifices a 3.2-bil ISK Vindicator, ensuring that no matter how the fight turned out it was an ISK loss.

You have people like Shelick, who run their mouth in local chat and on the forums, but demand you not talk smack because "we want to appear professional".

You have people who sit on an undock all day, who don't do a damn thing but suspect bait.

You have people who push through war decs they were told not to push through.

Current plans: move to Uedama, and "in two days" (said three days ago) dec them and make it permanent. Instead, they ally in on a war, giving the image of indecision and incompetence, and leading to the loss of someone's pod who didn't realize a war had been pushed through, because there was no warning in the form of a mail to let people know what was going on. And that person was kicked after losing it, because he "messed up the stats".

There is constant pushing of blame onto the base members for the stupidity of the directors, constant punishing of people who aren't kept in the loop. And when you ask for clarification of anything, you're told you'll be told "in due time", only that time never shows up.

Am I pissed? Yeah, I am. I have two weeks of playtime that was, in essence, wasted. Two weeks moving between systems, not sitting on an undock, looking for war targets. Missing out on kills because I am doing the intelligence-gathering as I normally do, working with my assets to make sure that Archetype appeared to be far more competent than it was. And because of two posts, and Loreth's need to appear "competent" and "professional", the only ****** moving between locations and looking for kills off of gates and stations is, instead, removed. Because Tora's feelings were hurt.

I wouldn't be upset if I'd deserved it. God knows I've done some **** in the past to be kicked and I'll never fault people I gave a reason to boot me. But I have plenty of ex-CEOs who can vouch that when it comes to loyalty and intelligent gameplay, that is me in a nutshell. I will go to bat for people deserving it. But hypocritical pieces of crap placed in charge of people, and not doing a damn thing to make a cohesive unit? No, it's an insult, and you get no more loyalty.

Every alliance has issues Anya. Part of the game....

There's a difference, though, in how alliances deal with said issues. Archetype doesn't have a base to build on. The foundation, they think, is Enzee and Dewayne/Jimmy and the shared accounts. They have no concept of tactics, but they compound issues by ignoring glaring deficiencies. I mean, if someone decided to intentionally mess up your killboard because his feelings got hurt, Tora, what would you do?
