It makes more sense as the abbreviation - you don't drop the "u" in the middle, plus it makes for a more fancy acronym.

They're 'capital maintenance vessels' really, but i can't think of a sexier name either. God knows why CCP named the logistics ships 'industrials', and the maintenance ships 'logistics'. That just adds to confusion
