I'd like an update to the tagging system.

If I'm mining with a group, it would be nice to get a tooltip on an asteroid with some tagged information.

It could be a simple: right-click on asteroid, select add tag option, fill in input box, hit accept button, hover or left-click on asteroid, tooltip pops up.

It would be great for fleet ops and be a nice addition to the current tagging system.
A more permanent tagging system more akin to bookmarks would also be useful. A linked tooltip could be shared among all similar asteroids. Maybe even starbases, moons, planets, or existing bookmarks.

The tooltips could also be applyed to combat targets for use in combat ops.

But you can already tag things in a fleet (mining or otherwise) though, can't you?

You can tag targets with numbers, letters, and some types of symbols in fleet, currently.

tag rock A -> write in fleet chat "A is mine bitches"

...or tag a load of rocks and then set an motd in fleet chat with details on all ur currently tagged rocks

This is just a variant of the survey scanner sharing request. Which is a good one, but should be done in some other fashion than the tagging system. Maybe a totally new overview column of 'last fleet survey scan' or something. That stores the last scan anyone in fleet did.
