IDEA: Player Made Stargates

1: you must hold sov in a system to deploy a gate. Gates are owned by the sov owners

2: Each system has a class assigned to it... 1 to 3.

3: Min/max gates in system depends on the system class.
~ Class 1: min 1, max 3
~ Class 2: Min 2 Max 5
~ Class 3: Min 3 Max 6

4: If there are more than minimum number of gates in system, then all gates become vulnerable to attack on the same window that SOV cool down is. This includes NPC gates. If system is at minimum number, all gates are always invulnerable.
~ Gates have 2 reinforcement timers, able to be set by their owners.
~ A gate takes 24 hours to deploy. if it is attacked while deploying, it only has 1 reinforcement timer.

5: NPC gates that lead to NPC owned systems are permanently invulnerable.

6: If you lose sov in a system for 30 days, NPC gates redeploy, and player owned gates go offline.

just came back from a break like 2 months ago... so I'd say no... I heard people talking about player gates, so I figured I'd pop some ideas that came to the top of my head...

They were most likely talking about how player-built gates are a terrible idea and should be doused in space-petrol and set alight should they ever come into being

Player built gates will be awesome. Think of them like a titan bridge that can't log off or dock up in one of the new citadels. They'll provide amazing tactical possibilities while simultaneously generating fights to destroy/protect/capture them.
