In the Manufacturing List tab, there are four data entry boxes for runs, BPs, Prod, and Labs. I figure the latter two are how many production lines and labs I have available. What are the first two for? How is this information used?

If I ignore a blueprint in the manufacturing list, how do I get it back?

How do I get IPH to calculate total copy cost?

What's the best indicator of whether I should build a particular item? I would think IPH*SVR, is that right? How good a measure is it? Can I trust it?

If I limit the list to only things with an SVR value, it's a pretty short list. Why don't more things have an SVR? More to the point, I select all BPs, all BP types, T1 tech, the four main races, and all sizes except XL, and uncheck "include items without an SVR value" and I get a list of about a dozen items, about half of which would be built at a loss. There's only half a dozen things worth building for me? Really?

Everything on the manufacturing tab relates in some way to the bp tab. Runs and bps, like on the bp tab, are used mainly in T2 production but runs is the total runs you want to do (e.g. 150 runs of Raven) and bps is the number of bps you want to use to make it. If you use one Raven bp then it will take you longer than if you use 10.

You can un-ignore a bp by going to the bp mananagement window under the edit menu, view the ignored bps, and adjust the bps you want.

IPH automatically calculates the copy cost for all T2 items, when you select it. For T1 you need to manually enter it in the addl cost field.

The best indicator is up to you. SVR is more of a 'can I sell this quickly' indicator (sales to volume you can build per time period) but some would rather sell lower IPH items faster than higher. Some want better profits. SVR*IPH is just an attempt to see a number for a high IPH item that you can sell. There are many variables that you might want to consider for trying to figure out what to sell.

Just to be clear though, IPH does not tell you what to build, it gives you options and information for you to make a decision on what to build. No program is going to tell you what a free market is going to do and what you should buy or sell. If I could do that I wouldn't be messing with this and spending my time on the US stock market. There will always be risk and IPH is a tool to help you minimize your risk, not eliminate it. For example, I was making large ccc rigs based on early versions of IPH and was making good isk. One day I bought all the salvage I could to build a bunch of them. The program said it was still profitable but then the price tanked hard. I lost a lot of isk and didn't know why until I remembered the last patch introduced the Noctis and salvage was cheaper than ever. IPH couldn't have told me that (the next version will have a price trend line added but there is still risk).

Some of the SVR values are blank because EMD (the third party service I use for volume) isn't complete in all cases. In other cases the item simply has no sales for the period selected. If you have one or two days, you will have less data that a larger avg days. I'll be updating this next patch to allow updates using CCP data, which will be the history exactly like you see in game.

For your list, I don't know. It could be your skills, the system you are building in, the types of items, your prices, etc. If you are sticking to T1 to sell in a trade hub, it is likely that you'll have only a few items but there are so many variables to consider that I really can't tell you why, only you can figure that out.

Hope that helps.

Sorry for the delay.
I have again checked, I have a single BP in my personal Hanger and everything else is in the corp hanger.

Scanned Personal BPs Filter shows my single BP
Scanned Corp BPs Filter shows all my other BPs
All Blueprints shows everything, I scanned through one by one and the only one highlighted is my personal BP.

No idea if I am missing anything.
Here are screenshots of all the filters.

Surprised noone else has mentioned it so it makes me think it might be me.
If you would like me to supply time limited Corp and Personal API's for you to test then drop me a evemail.

Hope this helps.

I've been reluctant to switch to IPH because it looks intimidating. I've been using www.eve-cost.eu for the past year or so, but it has some bugs and isn't getting support anymore it seems. One feature that it has that I love is the warehouse. Basically, it crunches your market orders via API and keeps track of what you've got on hand and what you paid for it. A great feature if you come across a deal on materials somewhere and want to stockpile them. Any thoughts of putting a similar feature into IPH?

I haven't really thought much about linking up the market/wallet API sections much. I had a note to look into it but I just have so many other things I want to do first.

You might want to check out http://evernus.com/ for more market related stuff.

As far as intimidating, I can understand that. I'm hoping to do some tutorials soon to clear up any confusion on getting started. Let me know if you have any questions though, I'd be glad to help.

Ok so today I noticed that IPH uses my manufacturing character skills when calculating the taxes, however I use a dedicated trading alt to do the buy/sell.

The obvious workaround is to override my manufacturing alt character skills and give him the proper trade skills.

One question: If I do this, will IPH stop updating my other non-trade skills forcing me to disable override, update, give trade skills again, save?

It should only update non-overridden skills. So to answer your question, no it will not stop updating other skills. It's specific to the skill over-ridden so anything you didn't override in trade (or elsewhere), will get updated when you level it.

Not sure if this as been already reported. But seems to be a bug when calculating production + invention time on any T2 BPC with more then 10 runs. For example,
Pick any T2 item, set runs to 10 with including invention time. BP Production time will include base production time + invention time. Set runs to 11 or any value over 10 and refresh. BP Production time only shows base production time and does not include invention time. This also affects BP Isk Per Hour calculation.

It would be nice if the total cost for each item were included as a column in the "Items to build" section of the shopping list.

Dunno if you're aware of the issue but IPH doesnt seem to know that you build 100 R.A.M per run and this makes raw materials worse than components in some cases.

Does anyone have an idea what to do with the sound that plays everytime i updat the ME or edit the shopping list?

It's very annoying, to hear that window notification sound multiple times a minute.

Edit: Found it myself. Disable sounds in settings menu

I'm having an issue where blueprints that are marked as Favorites under Manage Blueprints are not showing up when I select Preview Item List under Manufacturing List.

Is this a known issue or has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks.

Okay bug report incoming:

When using the shopping list, the materials needed does not update correctly.. For example:

I have a loaded list consisting of different types of rigs.
When i manually edit the shopping list in the "items to build" tab, some of the materials does not change.

I know that trimarks uses alot of Armor plates, i also know that the core defence field extender rigs does not.
However when i delete trimarks from the "items to build" list.. armor plates are still being showed as materials to buy under the "items to buy" list.

I'm not sure if this bug occurs even though i don't use the loading list feature(which btw is awesome)

This looks like an error with the data coming from the API server. If this is still happening for you, send me the EVEIPH.log file to ZifrianEVE@gmail.com or in EVEmail.

Can you give me some more details? Do you mark them as owned? What type of blueprints? I may have fixed something that caused it not to happen on my dev version but appreciate any other info.

I'm not noticing an issue with my testing. I've added multiple rigs and I can update the quantity as well as remove them without issue. Can you put the steps to reproduce what you are seeing? Thanks

Grey Stormshadow wrote:
Noticed couple issues:

1) Favorites issue with loading backed up BP list from file:
-> favorite status of the blueprint is not imported from the file even it is set to true in there

2) shopping list components window may hide objects after changes in available original blueprints:
....I had several saved shopping lists with x amount of nanomechanical microprocessors in components to build window
....In this point I had one nanomechanical microprocessor BPO ME9/TE20 in corp manufacturing line (running)
....I bough couple extra original nanomechanical microprocessor BPO and researched both to ME10/TE20 (with corp jobs from corp hangar)
....Researches finished and all on shopping lists was good at this point still.
....I started manufacturing job with another of these new BPO's and another went to hold (corp hangar).
....Next morning when I started IPH, nanomechanical microprocessors had vanished from all saved shopping lists. Item is still on the list if I open the saved shopping list with text editor, but it refuses to show in IPH shopping list editor.
...If I create new shopping list, nanomechanical microprocessors DO appear there, but it is really hard to rely on saved shopping lists if they suddenly start dropping items like this :/ I am not sure what else vanished as these BPO's weren't really the only ones I bought...

3) Manufacturing list and favorites crash issue:
-> If you add only unowned T2 blueprints to favorites list and go to manufacturing list, choose favorites to BP filter and click calculate, IPH crashes with following error code: mscorlib, lenght cannot be less than zero, param name lenght

Anyways thx for gr8 program - these are only minor issues in big picture.

Took me a bit to reply, but 1 and 3 will be fixed in the next update. #2 I can't reproduce. Let me know if it's still causing issues.

Love the tool, I only have one feature that would make me like this tool even more. When doing an invent for T2 can you multiply the chance of success times raw profit? That would provide the expected profit per invent attempt.
