Interesting question

My goals in EVE are myriad.

Bottom line though, is to improve at what I already do in EVE and to go out on a limb and get better at the rest.

Eve is the dark haired, totally hot emo gothchild of the gaming community

My goal is the same I hold in every aspect of daily life. Have a good time without getting shot.

My goal is to help New Eden exist so long that CCP is able to implement more features than Chris Roberts promised for Star Citizens.

I'm serious. PM me.

That was actually Erica's life goal once.

Didn't quite work out though and a lot of people had to die.

She has a rather strong maternal instinct. I guess it's still her goal if she ever retires.

I'd be interested in hearing the story behind this.

Betrayal, lies and broken promises, Mr Mortlake.

It's a story that stretches almost a year. Maybe I'll blog about it one day or share the tale with you over a coffee.

Suffice to say my former-friend dishonored me and my family. That generally doesn't end well for people and so we took leave from corporate duties and went to war with him, his family and his alliance to restore our honour. Still the best adventure I've had so far in EVE and it provided unique content for dozens of pilots; we spared no expense and it's not often people find themselves in the midst of protracted wars or evictions all for RP and the fury of a woman scorned.

+1 now that I think of it

I've achieved all of mine, hell, i havne't had a 'goal' in at least 6 years now. I never really had many to begin with

From the beginning:

Fly a battleship - check

Own a faction battleship - check

Be able to fly all the variants of the Thorax - Check

Get into some pvp - check (thank you 2009 Faction Warfare)

Join a Corporation - check

Go check out null - check (liked it, stayed there for the most part)

Learn to FC - Check though horrible at it.

See a Titan - check (the 1st one i ever saw DD'd my whole fleet, back when DDs meant something not this young whippersnapper DD they have now)

Get and be able to fly a capital -check

Fight in a big war -check, check and check lol.

So all of that is done, was done a long time ago, now i get to enjoy tinkering with fits and methods and new ways to kill npcs while not getting killed by people. I guess you can call that last part an ongoing goal.

Hm. On topic, full act.

Done so much already.

I'm not sure if attempting to get miniskirts into the game ...
(... LOOK AT MA THIGHS ... MA THIGHS ARE AMAZING ...)
... makes any sense anymore.

Haha, I come up with one and then move on to another - my first was to run a corp, during my first few weeks, and I got some good experience from that (and also learned I don't want to run a corp). Since then, it's usually going for a certain ship and fit, being able to fly it perfectly.

I also have lore-based goals, like theorycrafting about the Drifters etc. - I'd say my goal there now is to find out more about them (as much as that's possible) and collect more Elements, while keeping an eye on the DB for new stuff and keeping my eyes open for the Coalesced Element and drifter drugs.

As for something I'd love to do: fly a Drifter BS/"Argo" somehow (I've gone so far as to make design documents for it and modules for it), or somehow end up flying one of the old Jove ships (if they ever returnP). That and pilot an XL citadel in a fight - oh, and win the CSM electionSmile

Perfect plugging at the end mate, perfect 5/7

Nice goals! ;P
