I must say CCP is doing a great job with this. Even though it's PvE I am actually looking forward to doing this!
It'll keep the players busy and I hope CCP considers valid feedback and keeps improving on site- and NPC mechanics!

And as this is an NPC character and the item needs to be contracted,
chances are the value of the reward won't drop to the floor,
so it'll remove a whole chunk of complaints by those who only look at their isk/hr!

What do you think? LP based rewards to not cause inflation?
What other ways of rewarding participants could be possible?

This could also be similar to the event that lead to the t3 dessie release order. Which ever group gets the most items to this agent will be the first to have their citadel line released to market or the new logi cap ship.

Who's "they"? A player found the NPC on sisi and posted about it on Reddit. It's not like CCP announced it there.

The gate camps will be epic, but so is the value of the prize for doing well.

tbh, casual players won't stand much chance against professionals in trying to compete for the top placing and those that will compete know how to move around in lowsec and nullsec.

There was a miner complaining about how FrostLine sites are too rare in highsec.

He was too butthurt to realize that increasing the amount of sites in highsec will not change anything ...
... because they'd just get farmed as heavily as they are now, not changing anything at all.

Having the next event's delivery systems in low and null is awesome!
Gate campers can be avoided using interceptors or cloaky ships,
plus systems can always be reached via wormholes, even if it's a lot less convinient.


And imagine all the fights that will start for the best camping systems!

Yes, it's an event for a tiny minority of the game and a big F*CK YOU for the rest. And it comes right after Frostline, so returning players who took the 3 months offer can regret it asap and cancel their subscriptions.
