All is clear now why CCP has remained completely silent.

It only (only used sarcastically) costs 600 bucks prior tax and shipping. Europeans are once again EuroPeedOn, because 600 USD in their website means the same as 700 EUROS (although it should be around 560 Euros), prior ship and tax as well which will both also be much more expensive than in the US. So if you are from Europe, you will end up paying like 300-400 USD more depending of your country. Haha, what a bunch of jokers those guys at Oculus.

Ok CCP, you are forgiven. You guys better include some nice thing with that mystery code for the victims that buy this crap just to play Valkyrie.

742 Euro for a Oculus. "Only" 600 dollers for US.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I was going to pre order one at 400 Euros. But 742€ ? Nope.

Oculus just made a serious mistake. Good by EvE Valkyrie.

Same here. If Facebook is a requirement, no Oculus Rift and no Valkyrie.

Remove standings and insurance.

Wow, that one sunk real fast... 742 euros, right after holidays? Who are they aiming for, the 1%? What?

YOUR AWESOME!

But what do you expect from CCP? That they spam Local with it? It was well enough covered in various Game Magazines / Websites, etc.

And if anyone should spend money to promote the Occulus, it should be Occulus. I think CCP made a great deal here, so why should they fire the Marketing people who most certainly achived this?

Your = "this is your car"

You are / You're = You are awesome.

So, what's wrong with her AWESOME then ?

Update: The early units appear to have sold out, given the fact that the ship date has already shifted from March 28th to sometime in April.

I just remembered something.

All we need to do is wait for the main industry to gather enough momentum. The one industry that always made a medium succeed. The one driving force behind any and every new way of spreading information and content. Once this goes off, it'll be a matter of weeks until we get VR sets bumbled with content packages aimed exactly at the people who will drive the industry forward and humanity toward it's final destination.

Porn.

If you want these things to get cheaper, contact your distributors.

Thing is, and for obvious reasons I won't go into further details, several programs of that particular industry already have support specifically for Oculus and have for a while. In other words, it's already there.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

Now, what the hell does Facebook have anything to do with VR hardware? Good Lord, at least even Google has a somewhat decent reason for pushing having a Google+ account for Youtube; they own the damn site. Still doesn't excuse them for completely turning it into the most poorly optimized website known to man, though. Does Facebook own Oculus or something?

Lol, you people didn't see this coming when Failbook BOUGHT the rights to the Oculus Rift? Why else would they do that? Facebook is nothing but a huge advertising platform, so it would only make sense for them to require it to use their device.

EDIT: meant to quote the guy above you. But yes, Facebook bought the Rift last year. When it happened, nobody seemed to realize what it meant.
