We need some in game spreadsheets.

Google spreadsheet style or Excel.

We just need it.

Why should CCP have to port a spreadsheet into the client, which they would then have to keep updated, when there's nothing wrong with the third party ones. Note that having to keep it updated is one of the reasons they're going to be pulling the IGB.

I rather do not want to have that kind of a complex software subsystem included into EVE directly. The game already freezes when it has to load war histories of Marmite or PIRAT, or BPs in the Indu Window. Imagine what the game would do if it had to load a complex spreadsheet.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

I think Tranquility has enough algorithms and formulae to keep track of. Bear in mind that CCP had to incorporate a feature, tidi, that literally slows everything down in a solar system in order to keep up with everything that it has to process when that system becomes too active. I don't want to be stuck in the gate jump animation for 10 frikkin minutes because you're working on a god damn spreadsheet.

It's not that difficult to import Excel sheets. It's even easier if you use G Docs because you can just send your buddies an out of game link. If you were thinking of this idea with personal use in mind rather than sharing your data with friends, it's not that hard to alt+tab. Or even better, go into your graphics settings and set your game to windowed mode, then maximize the window. Your game window will pretty much be the same size as it was in full screen, but you'll have your task bar available at the bottom of the window, allowing you to switch back and forth between your game and your spreadsheets that way if alt+tab is not a viable option for some reason.

Just download OpenOffice for Pete's sake and use that. It's free, works just like Microsoft's older Office Suite, which I personally think are still better than what pile of crap they are using now, and even saves and reads in various document file types for flexible file-to-program compatibility, Microsoft's current pile of crap included.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
