Using a tracking program to kill solo Supers?

I've read on some comments on the Killboard that PL uses a program to track and kill solo titans.

This is the first time I've heard of a program that actually tracks and kills supercaps - could someone enlighten me on how this program works?

Thanks.

Because you have to log in to kill supers.Roll By logging in you can track supercap pilots and kill them with your internet spaceship.

Which killboard? Where are these comments?

If I were to write such a program and I had the resources PL does, I'd use a combination of data from public killboards on kills made by supercap pilots, stolen API keys, and manual entries by spies to populate a database of known or likely positions of supercaps. From there it should be pretty easy to determine which supercaps make easy targets.

I don't know if that's how this alleged program works, but I can't imagine any other way of determining positions without an exploit.

Basically they use watch lists combined with locator agents.
Track both the super and all known cyno alts.
Then feed this data into a 3rd party program in some manner to crunch the data.

Then whenever the watch list detects one of their tracked targets coming online, they send out a ping, and know already where the target is.

That's the short version anyway, and why so many people want the watch lists to not give online/offline data without the targets permission.
Citadels will also mess with this to some extent, which is why goons are talking about refusing to let anyone else build and keep an XL citadel so that only they can dock supers and confuse super tracking programs by their super pilots being elsewhere also.

That was packet manipulation to not show up in local until he's on grid and isn't possible anymore.

Disclaimer: I never heard of this, don't know who he is, he never existed and I never heard of such an exploit existing.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia
