Greetings again everyone.

I assume this is the proper thread to be posting this in and if not it will be properly moved in time I imagine. Till then:

I created a Reddit Post recently and I received some really good feedback from the community and I was hoping to do the same thing here.

The Basics:

I have been working a while on a side 'project' that has turned into what is now my primary 'project'. Nothing extraordinary or revolutionary but it is time consuming none the less. In an attempt to help with not only time efficiency but in an effort to build a better application for the community I would seek to enlist the help and opinions of my fellow pilots and capsuleers. EVE is in an ever changing state. As are the tools, services and applications that are apart of it. While the project it's self might not be extraordinary the knowledge base it will contain will be.

What You Can Offer?:

Your experience, knowledge and opinions. I would really love to know what everyone is using in their day to day life in EVE. What do you use when you are pirating; solo and/or in fleet? What sort of tools do you use to relay intel to your corp mates, spies, and alliance members? What tools do you use to obtain said intel?

In general what sort of in game and out of game applications do you use (IE: EVE Mon, Pyfa, EFT, EVE Board, Dotlan Maps, Third Parties, etc,.) What tools/apps do you use when you are sitting their aimlessly dulling away at some roids? Tools for ratting? Traveling? Bounties? Multi boxing? Char monitors? Cell phone applications? Anything you can think of feel free to link it.

You can link the ones you use the most or exclusively first and if you are up to it after that feel free to link any and all tools/apps/services that you can think of or have heard of. I will take care of the sorting and quality control later.

Your experience and knowledge of these applications is also extreamly valuable. Next to each link if you would like to write your own opinion or description that would be great. A simple link is also fine. If you are the author of any of these apps give a good description of your application or service when you link it. All of this will help me effectively categorize and organize everything with proper descriptions and tags.

The more useful your links are as well as your opinions, descriptions, ratings and criticisms of the links are the more useful this application will be when it is completed and openly available.

So with all that being said please link away and thank you in advance!

NOTE: If you are reading this and you are the author of a tool, application or service please send me an EVE Mail.

Just looking for some good clean content. If you are unable to offer that then please find another post to ruin.

For the record. This is hardly a cross post. While the topic is the same I have expanded my reasoning and purpose since my Reddit post and that is reflected in the post it self.

Please keep the posts on topic.

EVEMon - Great for planning your skill training, also great to use to keep an eye on your characters when you are unable (or don't want) to log into EVE
EFT: EVE Fitting Tool - Used for helping to create new ship fits
zKillboard - See who has killed what lately, keep an eye on your killboard scores if you are so inclined
EVE-Survival - The most complete guide for mission running out there, contains data for almost every mission in EVE
EVEBoard - Show your char to others without having to give an API key, commonly used in the Character Bazaar on these forums. Can be used as a minimal substitute to EVEMon when using a mobile device

Not to be rude, but whenever I see someone writing about writing, their grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors pop out like red flags. This is especially true when someone is asking for input or submissions. It's a big factor in my having chosen not to contribute writing and ideas elsewhere, over the years. A little proofreading can get you a lot more traction.

I did proof read it. And to be honest english is not my best language. My apologies in that respect. It's Important to note however that I looked it over at least 20 times and edited it about that many times too. Just not all that great with my English. I understand your point of view though. And respect it. Not much I can really do there unfortunately.

Sure, lots of people come up against that. I am married to a non-native English speaker. You could be writing the best ever guide, and it shouldn't suffer needlessly from errors. Granted, I probably care more than most would. Personal flaw. :)

I had a look at that a while ago but given that this is EVE I didn't trust it much, it gives a lot of personal info to them and allows them to monitor you quite a bit. Is it really that handy?

To the OP:

EFT
EVEmon
EVE Who
Zkillboard
sometimes Dotlan
TS3

Spreadsheets are an essential part of EVE. There needs to be IGSS (In-Game Spreadsheeets)

Feel free everyone to keep this going. Keep on posting! Thanks! = )

You should post this in the EVE Technology Lab, the part of the forum specifically meant for 3th party applications and the people building them.

Nevertheless,

  1. /bin/exefile.exe
  2. In house build (corp use only) multi-purpose tool
  3. Ventrillo
  4. This forum
  5. Phone

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

Loving the replies so far everyone. Thanks for participating. Please by all mans keep the information coming. All of these comments and post are metrics for me. I use them to rate and rank tool,s pps & services by popularity based on a number of factors but also by how many times each person post the same items.

NOTE TO AN ArrowISD If one of you by chance read this post please move this thread to the EVE Technology Lab. As it has been pointed out it will be better suited there and it has been in General long enough. I have got some good answers from here.

Anyway and again thanks for your posts. Keep them coming! = )
