Petition to CCP: Please LOCK the Eve is Dying trollfest thread

If it serves a purpose by giving trolls somewhere to vent their feelings then great since we don't have to read it.

However, I agree with the OP that a new GD reader might think that they've just joined a game which is failcascading, especially given the page count. To avoid charges of censorship CCP/ISD could at least change the title.

Instead of just 'Eve is dying' they could use some quotation marks: 'The "EVE is dying" thread' maybe with a Roll or a "Don't feed the trolls" warning sign in the first post (I assume ISD can mainpulate stuff like this).

The reader would then get a very clear idea of the content and what CCP and most of the player base think of it.

EVE is harsh. EVE is a sandbox. EVE is for players to do as they please.

I like to think that those things extend to the forums and I'm happy for the opportunity to have a thread open where people can hone their skills in annoying other players without having to log in to the game.

The thread the OP is referencing is just such a thread and I'd like to see it left alone with minimal moderation.

I don't think it means much of anything. A few dozen people continually post in it to keep it alive and a few dozen others take the bait also keeping it alive. Who cares. And since nobody cares it's the only voice they have to announce their unhappiness with the way the game is progressing. Let them have their say. If they make valid points then good for us all. Bad points will fade into obscurity. In the meantime CCP has sold over 500,000 skins alone. Care to calculate how much that is in real $$$?

CCP censors enough threads. Let the naysayers have their say.
