Due to job workload and limited time online, I'm unsubing one account and keeping the other active for 1 more year. After that I'll probably unsub that one as well. I'm in the process of looking for something different to do and I think I found it w/o the grind and kind of fits into my schedule. Star Citizen. It's in Alpha atm and looks promising. I've purchased a game package and started looking around a bit.

Hi, can I have your stuff? You can't take it with you to Star Citizen anyway.

CCP recognize that during the course of gameplay a lot of friendships are made between players and that sometimes if a player is taking a break or departing from the EVE universe that they would like to say goodbye on the forums. Posts of this nature are only permitted on the Out of Pod Experience forum, and must be civil and well worded.

Thread moved to the Out of Pod Experience forum.

Ok I guess.

Not sure this is so important to warrant a forum thread, but good luck with whatever you do.

SC doesn't offer the same element of risk that EVE does, which will ultimately make it boring to play.

You'll be back, and we'll be waiting with open arms, and antimatter.

Well, yes of course ! There's so much you can buy already: cool ships, cooler ships and even more cool ships ... some of them you can actually fly already ... in a test level.

With all that money you can spend already, it's bound to become a great game. Everyone knows that great games cost a lot of money to make, so logically SC will be great. I mean ... they even have an animation for your character putting on his helmet, how cool is that ? /s

Yes, good luck whatever you will do, good money and all that. So you will not have to work ever after and you could come back to EVE for a lifetime. o/

Eh. The SC alpha open universe is fun. Actually I had a blast last night multi-crewing a Freelancer.

If they can flesh it out and actually release a working game, I will play it over EVE.

If I want EVE like fear I will fly into lawless territory with no insurance.

Anyways... I will most likely quit EVE after my plex runs out. I mean EVE isn't bad. It's just I don't want to pay or grind to play the game.

I want to have the option of playing a few hours per month if not even that.

Too many other games in my library that need attention.

Lol ...not a troll and I'm a backer of Star Citizen now.. I will keep my eve account open util Dec 2016. If SC goes live and keeps my interests going, I will be spending my cash on SC instead. All things come to an end and EVE online is really stagnate for me atm. The only time I really enjoyed Eve was when I first joined it back in 2005 EXODUS. Exodus was fun...now I click on a skill and zzzzzz....

cheers

The videos I've seen of the Star Citizen alpha gameplay were nothing short of stunning.
It is an absolutely beautiful looking game, and I'm glad to see that it's not total vaporware.

That being said, I'm a poor who doesn't own a computer that is capable of browning out the local powergrid when it's turned on, so I doubt I'll be playing it any time soon.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

I used to fly SWG multi-player ships (some 4 gunners and 1 pilots + engi).
I'll probably be flying in SWG again soon.
That program's timeline is between Ep. IV and V TESB, not between VI and the new VII.

As for EVE I never subbed more than 3 months and only once.
I usually sub for only 1 month.
I currently PLExed my main trader pod-pilot account twice for 6 months total.
I also traded 8b or so for a jump freighter pilot on the bazaar on one of my new accounts for some 30 days left with another PLEx.

However, I've had 6 accounts active at the same time in the past.
That allowed me to do more things that only specific pilots or ships can do.
If I would not have been able to do those things, others would have asked me to, and offered me rewards for doing it.
By the time I had the pilots ready and flying, the offers were no longer available as simply as before, and , not met.

Builds ship in empty Quafe bottle.
