Intersting. How do you feel about citadel space magic keeping all the goods in SOV null stations safe forever?

You take a hard line on gate control. What say you about space magic?

OP, sov null (especially being blue to CFC (and I'm not saying this in a grr goons way, they built the empire, good for them)) is already by far the safest place in EVE to live. It doesn't need to be safer.

If you agree that if you lock a gate you can't jump OUT of the system for 10 minutes, and friendlies couldn't jump in as well, I could have a whole lot of fun finding nulls in WH chains with this idea. Beyond that, hell no.

I am not a huge fan of space magic and I think people should learn to manage risks themselves. I think people should evacuate their own stuff, or fight to defend it. Jump fatigue may make this a pain-in-the-ass, but it is still easier than in WH.

With that said, there is a difference between asking for even more safety out in space - especially from a non-existential threat such as a roaming gang - and asking for a measure of protection from 10,000 Goons burning everything at will. And asking for even more safety when you are part of the largest and best organized coalition in the game is just laughable.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

1- Spot who on an enemy gang has the module/ship to unlock gate
2- Primary his ass
3- Shoot his wreck if it's a mod in case it dropped
4- Lock gates each side of their current system
5- ??????????

You have local.

You have Intel channels.

You have programs that scrape intel logs so you dont even need to be tabbed into the game to be altered to danger.

You have Dscan.

You have territory far away from where people can reship or resupply.

You have the ability to escalate infinitely.

I appreciate the poster's intent, however shortsighted it may be. This is not a good idea.

This nearly completely discourages every roaming gang to come to your space for a fight. No one will do it because you will become hopelessly locked into null. Want to go fight in Dek? Good luck getting through all the other space sitting on gates waiting for them to drop on you.
