Are there any plans to create mobile apps for eve gate, it seems to me it would actually make me want to use it and after fan-fest showing us that it was possible to run a full client on mobile shouldn't eve gate be easy?

if you want my digital agency could do it id get some nice new biz commission :)

I think CCP is leaving it up to 3rd party app developers to do this.
I'd buy it as EvE Gate and the new forums are resource hogs on my iPhone. My phone struggles and chugs when I have the new forums or EvE Gate pulled up.

I'd also love to see CCP develop a way to manage an accounts skill queue without actually having to log into the game.

i really dont think 3rd party would be a good way to go on this tbh. it leaves too many security issues

Oh good, I thought it was just me because I have an obsolete Android 1.5 phone...

But yeah, when exiting the browser, opening it again, going to the forums and opening the new topic is faster than waiting for the forums to follow a link, there's a problem.

Leaves only the fresh scent of pine.

[sarcasm]Why would a site such as evegate that is meant to make connecting people easier need to be available on mobiles? I mean, come on! [/sarcasm]

Only CCP can have farsighted goals and ideas surrounded byn a cloak of shortsightedness.....seriously!

as a person who works with mobile media stuffs its obvious to me that more people would visit eve gate if the process were simplified through a app.

no matter how good phones get browsers are annoying to use and clunky touchscreen phones arnt great for typing in so a properly optimized for mobile eve gate app would be a great addition and would prove ccp's comitment to the future!

this.

3rd party only get read only API, and its against EULA for a 3rd party dev to access anything that requires your username/password i.e. eve-gate

So you want people to give their account name and password to some program with unrestricted access to internet? no, thanks

Mobile support second.

Writing a simple client would be rather easy, but actually allowing edits and sending mail would be rather complicated for third party apps (you'd essentially have to fake a browser - not just do API calls).

Wait, you're telling me there's no mobile version of this website? At all? You've got to be kidding me.

CCP get it together. In the meantime I guess I'll make an app for browsing only. Honestly you'd think they'd include something as basic as a mobile version. xhtml must be too hard for them, especially considering all the script they used for this.
