(Rorqual) I have a dream...

I have a dream of a Rorqual that when deployed takes on the defenses of a small tower where miners can hide behind it's shields when danger appears.
A Rorqual where miners can dock their barges when under attack and assume their defensive stations which the Rorq provides in much the same manner as a pos.

A Roqual with mining boosts so great that the incentives tempt entire groups of carebears to go beyond the boundaries of their safe solar system to seek riches in the less hospitable reaches of space.

I'm not even a miner and even I am enticed by this scenario.

Secondly,near-immobile ships flee onto the completely immobile ship where they can get bubbled to death?

and when its deployed it appears on overview like a cyno and it does not go into reinforced mode, it and everything inside dies when you kill it.

once the rorqual forms this position it cannot move and has a shutdown timer of 1 hour

cuz this will absolutly not be exploited?

bubble up a rorq, put another rorq indide the bubble, and a 3rd inside that bubble and so on, then siege up dreads inside it in enemy sov, holding and yes... rorquals whould be abused in pvp, not a good idea.

why not just drop a small (heck a medium or large might even work) pos out of your rorqual instead?

if miners can dock in it or something like that, then the rorqual is just a big sitting duck and really doesn't seem to provide any benefit.
