New ship / skill : sabotage industrial

New structures offer new functionality. Why not create ship / skill to sabotage that functionality?

Let say T2 ORE industrial able to dock in enemy station and disable undocking for certain period of time, drop all sell orders or remove all manufacture jobs.

There can be a big number of different rules and settings regarding speed, vulnerability, cloacking and so on. But you get an idea ;)

In extreme that ship can be like moving cyno = visible for every one and have resistances of shuttle plus mini game to hack enemy citadel. So defenders can get time to go out and kill it.

So when someone fields 200 of these, then what? I think you forget that anything in EvE worth doing is worth overdoing.

200 shuttles, each one worth 1 B ISK, sitting for the station trying to solve mini game... hillarios kill mail that would be.

Really? A billion isk? And just how did you magically come up with that number? I highly suggest you stuff that number back up where OP pulled his suggestion from.

So childish.

Anyway, OP did not told how that ship should be balanced. For example, T3 cruisers are balanced so, that you lose skill points if you lose the ship. High ISK value seems to me as one of many possible ways how to balance those ships.

'T3's are balanced'

I see where you went wrong there.

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

you NEVER balance anything off price - that just says "only the biggest and baddest boys can have these", and guess what, they don't need them to fight smaller entities......

Ha! I actually find this "balance through price" idea quite interesting. After all citadels are exactly "only the biggest and baddest boys can have these" style... cause of price tag. Why not give biggest and baddest one more way to troll each other?

Is Jita the "new structure" ? Hardly.

Anyway, hacking player owned structure in high sec can be like attacking someones ship - CONCORD will react.

eh, why not.

AFK cloaked campers are fine and balanced according to Fozzie. Seems these ships would likewise do very little damage while docked, while at the same time being exceedingly annoying to somebody.

Can we see how they play out in game before thinking of niche ships to counter them?

Well, new structures are not out, yet. So we can still suggest some of their properties without need to rebalance / reprogramm already published game entities. Why not discuss this now? If implementing suggested feature will force serious changes that would be unfortunate.

I think Entosis should do this to structures.

Orbiting and waiting to turn off services is boring. I'd like to see a very hard hacking minigame whacked on top. During the game, you uncover nodes that give you information about the service you're currently going to hack. Get a few records of current industry jobs, and their completion times, etc. Inventory lists of corporation hangars. Outstanding corp and alliance contracts.

Entosis needs more carrot for the current amount of stick.

Very good idea, but I would like to have a new, specialized ship and new skill. Low level of skill can allow user to gather information you mentioned, higher level - to do sabotage.

Price in sandbox game with real economy simulator IS a very legid (and actually wide used already) way of balance.
