Surely CCP added stronger warp stabilizers to counter such a ship? Surely ........... Roll

No.

The tears of the FW farmers that get caught will be delicious.

So easy to avoid too, so not much of an issue really.

Why would they?

The purpose of the bonus is clearly to counter warp core stabs. Making them stronger would make that bonus pointless. (literally)

How to counter +4 warp scramble Maulus:

Fit 4x Warp core stabilizers -or- shoot the ******* Maulus.

Both can be considered direct counters.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

ship of the build forecast:

heavy interdicton cruisers. ....well thats new.

any way. back on track.

the malus is quite powerful due to haveing both warp scram strength and sensor damps. which is a very powerful combination.

thankfully the EHP ceiling for the malus is quite low....unforutnely it likes to kite with drones and has quite a bit of speed on its side....maybe reducing its speed or abillity to field drones perhaps?

The range and strength bonuses on the Navy Maulus are all for Scrams. The damps are un-bonused and the Navy Maulus has only three midslots, so you'll be unable to pull off the Keres stunt of 3x Damps + Scram to tackle people so they can't even lock you.

I'm very much looking forward to giving one of these little boats a try.

This sounds interesting...

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

Talking about the Maulus Navy Issue in here, which has drone and scrambler bonuses, and is more or less a superduper scram kiter. The standard t1 maulus gets a damp effectiveness and cap use bonus and should typically aim to be as far away as possible.

Staying out of scram range is probably also an option, given that scrams are typically short range.

Also, aren't they introducing weapons that push other ships 100km away? Seems like a counter.

Magic-Teleportation-Weapons that get shut down by, you guessed it, a Scram!

Dropping your Command Destroyer on a Navy Maulus with a view to sending said Navy Maulus elsewhere probably isn't the wisest of tactics.

+50% range + links + heat is a pretty decent range. 21.3-26.6km meta 4 - true sansha (which would also be 5 points of scram Twisted) range.

the command destroyers can jump most things within a 6km radius 100km. A scram will hold things in place however. not 100% sure how they affect the micro jump field generator, but I'd guess they block it to everything.

Since The Maulus does not have a Range Bonus, any frigate can fit Two Scrams and be able to tackle. FIt your ship Accordingly, or travel in something a little more designed for hostile environments. Locked.
