So, who is masochistic enough to try to herd the cats that call themselves 'militia'?

In years past there was plenty, at least within the State military.

No corporate affinity beyond the Protectorate was even required. A freelance militia pilot could simply enlist and join fleets almost day in, day out as skilled Fleet Commanders such as GavinGoodrich and GunnyT31 took scores of enthusiastic servicemen and women into lowsec to do battle for the State in public fleets. Legendary cat herders they were, but masochists not. Merely highly skilled pilots and inspirational leaders in battle who had the guts to stand up and call for 'x's, then lead the fights that would follow.

Long gone are those days. Spy-paranoia and corporate cliques all but ruined the public spirit of service with Militia.
