Forum Tool - Show Only CCP official posts in thread

Since the forum is THE EVE Documentation for details of many new features...

Can we get a forum TOGGLE button for threads that prunes the thread down to show only DEV and other official CCP posts?

DEVs are normally good about quoting the context or actual question to which they are responding. So less active players could get the reader's digest summary of official rules without reading the much more voluminous and repetitive user drama leading up to and trailing the CCP responses. Read CCP words faster without risking missing entries in fast skim of thread.

If there is such a tool already -- could you make it a bit more obvious and prominent??? Should NOT have to be forum expert on obscure facts. Its one of the most frequently needed tools by the less forum obsesses.

Less forum reading time = More actual game play time.


Example: Command destroyers thread had like 38 forum pages with maybe 5% being actual CCP. Just skipping regular user posts can take 5-10 minutes or so to find CCP posts (less if you don't mind maybe missing some shorter CCP posts).


ROFLMAO - and I admit that certain EYE CATCHING outrageous player statements additionally slow me down. Plus there are usage comment that can be interesting.

The point is -- I want to be able to finish the official CCP stuff first

so that I can stop reading user stuff as soon as it becomes too time consuming, repetitive or confusing troll work.



And no the feature that shows all post by specific user doesn't serve my purpose well since a CCP user posts typically span multiple threads and multiple CCP users may contribute to one thread. Its a scrambled mess not all of which is something I am studying

You can click the blue arrow to the left of the thread to jump to the first dev post. Agree that it would be nice if doing so just showed all dev posts.

This isn't what you want, but it will help some. Maybe Chribba can/already has made it so you can change the URL to only show devposts in a thread but I am unware if this is easy to add/works.

Furthermore if it brightens up a shade when you mouse over the post it's indicating that there is further dev responses in the thread.

Not quite what the op is looking for but functionally the same.

Thought that might be the case but havent tried it (forums are a pita on a cell phone) good to know.
