Same I am thinking, fits were ranked for a reason. And yet even the terrible ones could teach about what to fit and what not, and the reasons behind.

I used to check basic fits on BC and commented on few but what bugs me the most - what will happen to EveMon? Seriously i need EveMon to play Eve. Without it, it wont be the same (worse).
I hope that CCP will adopt somehow. Maybe rename it to EveGate (lol) and serve as out of game official tool. Guys responsible for EM need some credit as well. And gold.

The site was terrible for a lot of reasons, however I do have a tremendous amount of respect for those involved in the effort and what they were trying to accomplish.

Battleclinic was there for me when no one else was. Yes it was full of terrible fits, but those become obvious with experience. It doesn't surprise me that it has gone down though; I don't use EVEMon anymore, and the means of getting fits has expanded to the point that only the strongest of websites will survive. Battleclinic, you were not among the strong. So goodbye to you, may you go to Valhalla, all shiny and chrome.

Other than the fittings section going to absolute garbage over the last few years, the update is pretty much what killed BC IMO. Almost their entire user base hated it, and were very vocal about it on their forums. All the mods did was tell them to stop complaining and deal with it, we spent hours and hours on it, you're all just butthurt and can't deal with change, etc etc. I used to be a daily visitor, but completely stopped using the site within a month of the update launching.

The site closing will have literally zero impact on Eve. BC hasn't been relevant in any significant way for at least a couple of years. EVEMon will find a home so that shouldn't be a concern.

zkillboard is the one i use to check things. it is the fastest.

eve-kill for me has the best statistics (month based)

battleclinic had one thing going for them and which made it stand out: the point system was very good and balanced for blob players and soloers, the rest was always kinda subpar to the other 2 killboards especialy since the update... but i would still visit the site very often because of the point system there so i am still a bit sad it will be gone.

Thanks for the service guys. I had problems with updating my killboard twice or so and when i put it up on the forums you would get a quick answer. and considering it were only 2 guys doing the fixes it went really fast.

Eh I had to stop browsing BC when they updated it and it became unusable for me for some reason.

It was a useful place to look at fits if you had half a brain and knew how to sort through the trash but would no longer work for me after the big revamp they did about a year ago - I've heard the same from others. That was a bad idea.

It is not actually hate. it is some sort of hipster EPEEN, they are basically saying look at my superior fitting skills compared to what the unwashed masses post up on battleclinic.

In reality most people fitting a ship they are unfamiliar with will look through various online linked fits, chuckle at the more ridiculous ones steal a few good ideas from others and move on. Aside from which it's always been possible to exclude Battleclinic from google searches if they annoy you.
