Pirate implant sets

Can someone explain to me why pirate implant pricetags are so over the place?

Some low-grade implants costs more than an epsilon mig-grade or a high-grade costs less than a low-grade.

Is it unclear to you that all pirate implants cost the same and some even drop for free?

Supply and demand.

Oddly enough, low-grade implants drop in Lowsec (instead of Highsec). And both, Highsec and Nullsec are farmed waaaaay more, than Lowsec. So i would guess, there are a lot more mid and high-grade implants available on the market.

Okay that explains it alot better.

Can you also explain the supply of pirate implants is infinate and high-grades cost 80m isk and 80k LP and they are still sold for 2783473896275695 bajillion isk?

When you want a slave or snake set would there be any reason to not plug an omega in too?

So, in your first post, high-grades were too cheap and now they are too expensive?
The supply is NOT infinite. Somebody has to run missions in Null to get the LP.
And the ratio is around 2.500 ISK/LP, so quite normal.

If it's still too expensive for you, feel free to do those missions yourself.

I mean the other high-grades. Some high-grade betas or gammas are cheaper that mid-grade epsilons. And yes you have to run missions, like everyone else the pricetag in the LP store still remains the same for the whole set.

So a high-grade snake or slave set would cost 480m and 480k LP and it is not that the agents in nullsec onle give you 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 lp per mission do they?

The skill requirements of the omega implants are the same for all pirate implants and even they cost 80m and 80k LP. So if residents of NPC space have nothing else to do they might blitz some missions or do they get isk by magic?

As said before, supply and demand is pretty much the long and short of it.

The prices on the market just reflect the cost in the LP store.
For example:
Mid-Garde Slave Epsilon 45.000LP + 45mil ISK
High-Grade Slave Beta 31.500LP + 31,5mil ISK

But in general...

... i have no clue, what you are trying to say.

So i'll just stick with "supply and demand".

Now that is odd. Next time I am in Stain I'll need to check the True Sansha LP store, there might be something wrong with that. It used to be that all high and mid and low-grades had the same value in LP and isk on them.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I doubt that, Omegas and Epsilons have always been the most expensive parts of the sets. Definitely not since Mid-Grade implants have existed, or rather when Low-Grades were renamed Mid-Grades and even weaker implants were introduced with the Low-Grade name. I don't think the current Low-Grade implants are even available in pirate LP stores.

The implants that give an attribute bonus are all scaled in effect benefit. So an Alpha will always be the lowest bonus and the epsilon the highest. Thus, a mid-grade epsilon will often cost more than a High-Grade Alpha.

If you're stumping up for a set of Snakes or Slaves or any other implant set, you want that Omega. It's not really optional, imho. Pirate implant sets doesn't really work all that well until the Omega is plugged in.

Some implants are pretty much just flat out not available. Look at the Mid Grade Centurion set. Three of the implants are available on the market, three basically don't ever appear on the market. The reasons are many and varied, but the bottom line is: people generally won't spend LP (especially Pirate Faction LP) on something they either can't sell easily or don't need themselves.

Snakes, Crystals and Slaves are fairly widely used by a lot of different pilots in a lot of different situations. Some of the more esoteric implant sets have very niche uses, but they are very powerful when properly used to fulfill that niche. Virtues (probe scanning power) and Halos (signature radius reduction) come to mind.

Halos, for example, are 100% pure AwesomeSauce when flying a Frigate, especially one fitted with an Afterburner, and 100% pure NewbSauce if you're in a Battleship.

Snakes, on the other hand, are pretty sweet regardless what ship you're in.

depends , for example the gila/worm nerf made theyre price drop , so the respective lp was better cash out as crystal sets , which actually crashed the market . So it may be not obvious but even such changes have an impact .

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say here. If you're whining that you can't wardec me, don't worry, I'll be in a player-run corp again soon enough. Taking a break to teach my little brother how he can plex his account with ISK before I trudge back into the line of fire.

Those use cases are situational again; a fleet bs is much better with halos, whilst snakes are essentially useless
