Second client lagging unreasonably on log in

Anybody else having problem logging in their second client? It doesnt matter which client I log in second, all of a sudden which ever is second takes an indeterminate and unreasonably long time to get to the character selection screen.

Any thoughts?

using beta launcher
setting interval between launch to 1 sec
launching 3 client

all 3 clients launch almost as quickly a only one. (yes a bit longer, but way way faster that launching the 3 separatly)
no issue on character select whatsoever, once the firest screen appear it works while the other are still loading, and the last one I select a char is as responsive as the first one


my thought : try clearing your cache
purge you 'Documents\Eve\logs' folder
try clearing stuff out of memory (you should have 1GB free for each client you plan to launch), reboot?

you are not the only one to report some issues, look this forum page 1 and 2

but no resolution as of yet. if a cleanup task make a change, post it for the others

I have been having the exact same problem.

Have cleared cache on launcher and tried purging eve log file, but no change.

Each client logged takes progressively longer to display character screen.

Current ship will not show in station. I have to go to captains quarters then ship hangar to get ship to display.

I have plenty of memory unused. I haven't used the beta yet.

Issues like these make me wonder why I pay for 2 accounts and ultimately end up having to go play a free game

Happening to me to.

I'm in the eastern US. Pennsylvania - Verizon

For some reason my connection to CCP is limited to about 42 kb/s ?

This just started happening a few hours ago.

Ok so I tried the suggested fix - I cleared all caches. Deleted all the log files - holy mackerel - there were 100s of megs of data - all the way from 2009 - cant understand that. And it all seemed to work - I logged in and things were moving faster - but then I got a message in game that there was a problem with the mail cache. So I logged out and tried the repair program. And now I seem to have completely broken eve.

The launchers start and try to download a huge amount data - but seem to hang or crash at about 2 meg. And the repair programs seem broken as well - any thoughts?

ok an alliance mate suggested that i run everything in admin mode - which seems to have done the trick - which is odd since I never in like 6 years have had to do that . Anyways can get in the game on both accounts but the launcher seems seriously broken. Or at least the second instance of the launcher - the first instance for the first client works fine - the second instance crashes and gives me a strange error message which I cant seem to post here because it contains html(?) - but then it gives me a message to start eve and skips the launcher. So I suppose all well that ends well.

just remove any "greater than" and "lesser than" character, this forum don't allow them

I have the same problem.
Doesn't matter in which order I launch the accounts, it's always the second one that loads for several minutes.

Same here since yesterday and i start game over the exe not over the Launcher
