Test Server Feedback

Ok I have followed the instructions to make a test server build and the launcher is unable to update.

I copied my working TQ install to a new folder on a seperate hard drive name "Eve Test"

I created a shortcut for the new folder and added the "/server:singularity" option to the command line.

Launcher starts, I can log into my account on the launcher but the launcher gets stuck at:

"Downloading EVE Launcher update"

The progress bar never fills. I have tried to repair the install using the repair option under settings and that hangs up and fails when it tries to download the newest repair version. If i tell it to skip the new repair version and just use the old one it hangs up and fails somewhere around 50% into patch download.

I tried to download the Beta launcher from the dev blog from October and that downloads at 20 KB/s for about 2 megs of the download and then gets interrupted or fails and stops downloading. Trying direct link to the repair tool I found posted on the forums does the same thing.

I have been trying all day just to get a test server install working and nothing downloads. Anything i can actually get to start downloading, downloads really slow until about 10 to 20% then fails to continue downloading.

Note - I have no trouble reaching the internet, playing on TQ, or playing on any other online games, the only trouble is trying to update Singularity.

Any help on figuring the problem out would be appreciated.

well no idea what the problem ended up being. I decided to ignore the launcher again to see if it would fail to download the update and instead, 2 hours later it was ready to log in. Of course I ran into a black screen instead of character selection but i think i saw that mentioned already so time to look up solving that problem :P
