Updated sisi earlier to try out a new idea and now a am left hoping ill be able to play when the next patch hits tq.

Everything is fine til i select a character to log in, occasionally it will die just after showing me in space, sometimes before then.
Heres hoping whatever causes this doesn't make the cut to tranquillity :)

I have exactly the same problem and same wine version.

I also use new launcher. As result when I try to login in sisi, it shows char selection, then I select any character it tries to show the view inside the station and then it crashes.

I've tried:
- to clear all sisi data (EVE/SharedCache/sisi) - didn't help
- to reset profile settnigs - didn't help.

Tranquility on same wine version works fine.

Backtrace from the crash: http://pastebin.com/m8k8iqh7

I've tried other wine versions from PlayOnLinux:

- 1.7.10 - launcher ok, tranq - ok, sisi - same crash
- 1.7.22 - launcher ok, tranq - ok, sisi - same crash
- 1.7.34-CSMT-cf92569 - launcher doesn't start
- 1.7.45 - launcher starts but shows nothing
- 1.7.52 - staging, same as 1.7.45
- 1.7.53-steam_crossoverhack - staging, same as 1.7.45

So, on ubuntu 14.04. wine 1.7.22 (1.7.10 too) gives easiest way to install and play - it works out of the box without any additional libraries or wine tunning. If there is a recommended wine version for eve on linux, then it's 1.7.22 :) It's very unfortunatelly we lose it.

Can you try a more recent version of Wine? Wine 1.8-rc2 is the current latest version.

I think I've found working combination:

Ubuntu 14.04
PlayOnLinux
wine-1.7.45
new launcher

and new launcher requires one library overriding in "Wine configuration" -> 'Libraries' tab:
msvcr120 - native, builtin

With that I've successfully start launcher, play on tranqulity - undock, dock; play on today's singularity - undock, some flight, dock.

UP: I've tried 1.7.50 and 1.8-rc1 with the same overrinding, launcher works, but I can't start client and play.

I did try and I did not get any issue and did not change anything to my current setup.

-Gentoo Linux
-Kernel 4.3 with -march & brainfuck scheduler patchs
-wine wine-1.7.52 with "nine" patchs

I have +- 3 week old mesa/libdrm/llvm git for my video drivers.

And did not override anything except d3dx9_46.dll as required to get native d3d9 support.

Everything is working other then the sound now, and that's entirely my fault

CentOS Linux release 7.1.1503 (Core)
3.10.0-229.11.1.el7.x86_64
wine-1.7.45 compiled from source
