New Punisher & Atron Models

There is one thing about the puisher that I would change.

It is something that, currently, borders on cringeworthy.

Pull up the Punisher, zoom in close and look at the window/lights across the nose.


Sigh. CCP... really?

The punisher is also very rounded in shape like the aug, should change those thrusters too, to be more squared like the impairor,aug, navy aug.

The square shape compliments the round shape nicely, just like glasses on a face.

And we are getting some new ships soon, not sure about mechanics?

And while they're at it, omen, harbinger, prophecy could use some modernization as well.
When you look around at sci-fi ship artwork on the net, there is some seriously nice stuff out there. And then you'll wish you hadn't, because it makes some ships in eve look dated.

Does it not make sense lore wise as well? The U.S. isn't still rockin' the m4 sherman, they upgrade and upgrade and end up with an abram. Why shouldn't eve factions be upgrading their ships?

I'm sure many people have their opinions on which ships they want to see model updates/changes on, but I imagine it is actually something very time consuming for CCP to do. Besides time and energy, is it money they need? Then support them if you can. I'd rather buy plex to support CCP than donate to some breast cancer crap where only 10% of my donation actually goes to the cause.

To bad there are not much of the changes in Punisher's model. This looks outdated.

A mix between a Jackdaw and a Blackbird. Nothing really new, but it totally discard the original hull... There were ugly hulls (Osprey/Exequror/Dominix/etc) that managed to get a nice redesign while keeping the base generic form/design, and i do think that all redesign works should retain the old ship general look. We don't want totally new ships, we want totally less ugly ships.

Modifications to Sov Warfare (aka FozzieSov): done.
Modifications to FW: on the way (first quarter if it goes as planned).
Modifications to structures (POS mostly): on the way (first quarter if it goes as planned).
Modifications to caps/supers/titans: on the way (first quarter if it goes as planned).
Modifications to all drones: being studied, if the new fighter mechanics (part of the caps update) is well received, 2nd/3rd quarter.
Modifications to Camera/GridSize: Soon.
Tiericide for lot of modules.

I probably forgot a few things, but that's already a bunch...

I think the pace of model redesign will pick up a bit after the December release, as they've been busy packing it with visual updates on every front and haven't had much time for remodelling.

P.S. I also found a sketch for the Imicus-Helios line. This was on Reddit I think.

I'm probably the only person who likes asymmetrical ships. The only asymmetrical ship they've made symmetric that I've liked is the Scorpion.

The new Gila is good - its asymmetry is really subtle.

The Vexor and new Incursus hulls are good too.

I really like asymmetry as long as it is done well.
