Create a bookmark named whatever brief note you need. Hold shift as you dragthe bookmark from P&P to hangar.

I think the easiest solution for containers would be giving them a 'Notes' tab, like Characters have, but the text is seen by all.
Or the messages could be attached through an editable, with permission rights, field in the Description tab of the container itself.

Using bookmarks for notes is great and all, but I'd think you'd at least be able to make copies of your notes through the notepad in the same way, or even more streamlined than that. The notes could be read-only and/or non-salable like bookmarks, but appear properly as notes. There could always be more function than that, like check boxes or fields only editable by certain individuals, used as audit logs in the absence of proper ones. May as well cut+paste MS Word into Eve, at that point.

It's fun to think about how they could be turned into user created collectors items or some such nonsense, but people probably wouldn't care enough about something like that, especially if every note came in the same 'package.'

I originally thought it'd be a nightmare if you could jettison them, but you can jettison bookmarks and I don't see a lot of random containers of bookmarks floating around space. There must be some other reason I'm overlooking as to why this isn't already a thing.

- Note tab on containers, or other area where more than a single line can be used
- Allow notes in notepad to be created as items, using same (or more intuitive) functionality as bookmarks

I like the idea and I'd use it a lot.
