Other games have realized ways to recognize "healers" and give them the much-needed recognition for doing an important job on the field of battle. I would like everyone who feels there should be a way to recognize the valuable asset that is a logistics ship presents on the field during a battle to X up and see if the game designers can create a way to assign a value for repping and such. All ideas are welcome!

I think the best thing to recognize logi would be some sort of "decoration" or "achievement" system. Having it be an automated system thing would make it more distinguishable. Achievements could be measured in "number of ships repaired" and "number of HP transferred" and could be subdivided by discipline: Armor/Shield/Cap.

That would give a sense to the experience and skill level of the pilot. A measure of "average hp/s transferred while engaged" would also be a good one. The timer starts when a logi module is engaged and stops when the red cycle ends.

Good luck with that. In EVE, logistics/remote repair units are actually considered a hindrance by many people because they prevent destruction and make engagements less feasible, which leads to regularly presented suggestions to remove logistics completely from the game or at least nerf them a lot so that they cannot keep a ship alive for an extended period of time.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

I agree to both, that there need to be nerfs to logi, and that we(logi) should have some form of recognition. Its not so bad to be the people who battle without a space on KM's, but the lack of stats and therefore evepeen is kind of disapointing.

Use the force without consent and the court wont acquit you even if you are a card carryin', robe wearin' Jedi.

I just think that if you applied reps to a ship that got a kill, your logi ship should show up on the killmail

I fly logi.

Please do not hand people who want to kill me free intel about how much logi I fly.

I flew during the mass test. Our team didn't have the fantastic organization it did last mass test, but we had a TON of fun regardless. That said, even in the unorganized chaos, logi for my team was spot-on and kept me alive without hesitation. I wouldn't have been able to have half as much fun without them keeping me in the battle.

Since it has already been brought up, I'll put this as an aside. The fact that the enemy couldn't do anything to kill me because of the wall of logi is precisely why I started a thread with an idea to nerf it (search for "remote logi fatigue" here in F&I). I fly logi on TQ, and I might go ahead and fly logi during the next mass test as a "thank-you" for the two previous times they've saved my bacon. Pay it forward, as it were. But as much as I love it, it does come across as overpowered and severely limits the tactics the enemy can use to be rid of me in battle.
