I was thinking a Shield tanking Ishtar but I have not been able to find a decent fit for one, I can fly all subcaps but caldari ships, and have crap missile skills. Good drone skills and Gunnery skills. I would rather stay away from faction battleships but I might have to break down and buy one. any help would be appreciated thanks!

i have never done rating in 0.0 space but i do know that the deimos can pack a punch and tank like a boss :p never used the ship but have used pyfa to try some fits out and they do really well

with all five in skills this can tank 633 dps and can do 595 dps that is with drones.
and these deadspace modules shouldn't cost that much
and you can switch out the membranes for whatever you are going up against.

Can do any anom, even Sanctums. Warp in, Orbit something (I orbit on things like the asteroids in forsaken Hubs, or one of the Hardeners in Ring Sanctum etc), deploy drones, then forget about that ship for about 30 minutes. On average I lose one heavy drone every other week.

Not the best i9sk in null, but very very easy.

Cap stable with the MJD and heavy neut off. As long as you are moving (orbit something) your tank is fine in everything up to sanctums. It's a beast without implants but i use mid grade crystals and some gun hardwirings for extra madness. The MJD is a safety measure and the ECM burst keeps aggro off the expensive Gecko. The Valks kill light drones well enough.

Likewise the heavy neut, ECM burst and ECM drones give you some defensive capabilities (set the heavy neut to REPEAT OFF lol) if you do get caught for some reason. This ship fit is pricy (about the cost of a carrier, maybe a little less) and eats ammo like a fat kid at a buffet , but show me the carrier that can get through the gate of a 10/10 lol.

While I can't say about Ishtasrs, I've used this Hyperion to great effect before. Should do just fine.

Thanks, I have an ishtar hull at the moment so I will probably try that first. save up for the mach, its a little too blingy for me right now. I do have a carrier in the area too but I would rather not carrier rat alone.
