Research Laboratory prices?

Can anyone explain why research laboratories are trading so low? They are selling at 60% below build price and about 4% above reprocessing. Even if you remove the recent hike in the price of manufacturing items, they are still 30-40% below build cost.

Is it because they are going to become useless once citadels are out?

Before the big research patch last year that removed industry slots each POS laboratory only had a small number of slots so you would need many at a POS to research with multiple characters. Couple that with POS not getting blown up a whole lot and the superior Hyasyoda Lab only being a little over double the price (plus they're much, much more affordable now since you only need one) and you've got a recipe for what has happened here. I'm sure there's an opportunity to make money on them though, but really you'd want to know how they'll be refunded so you're not stuck with junk after they're removed and that's easily a year away.

Thanks. Never heard of the Hyasyoda Lab. Doesn't look like there is a BPO for it. Would you know where it comes from?

It comes from the caldari epic arc, so it has a fairly limited supply. Before the update to invention they were insanely expensive, now they're fairly cheap since you only need 1.
