Wouldn't wish that on anyone. The French have my condolences.

To all French players of this wonderful game

I don't think I need to tell you that the Eve Online community stands behind you in the aftermath of these tragic events. Those who would take human lives to promote fear and terror are nothing less than animals, and from the bottom of my heart, I hope those responsible are caught, tried, found guilty and executed, because they do not deserve to live.

No matter your standings in our great game, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Vive la France!

Tonight I went to sleep to 39 dead. Now they're at 127, and may be more since many injured are struggling for their life.

Along my life, terrorism killed more than 1,100 people in my country. It even knocked to my door once, and twice to my family's and friends'.

So I have a message for the agressors:

Whatever you look for, you will not achieve it.

You can kill us, but you can't defeat us.

As long as there are those of us willing to stand up and fight for it, freedom shall never die. Only those who would take it from us. Those who are innocent victims in the fight will always stand beside us, cheering us on.

To All French Pilots of New Eden,

In light of the tragic events that have transpired in Paris last night, I would like to express my deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your fellow countrymen.
Tonight, once again, as with the Charlie Hebdo attack, the world stands together with you in mourning... not only in the real world but also here in New Eden.
These attacks are not only against France, but against freedom itself... do not lay down and let terror take root in your heart and lives... for when we stand together, it's our finest hour and we should stand together to let these cowards see that they have not beaten us but instead strengthened us by unifying the masses!

In my heart, I know it's impossible for these events to not touch our community in some personal way, but the optimist in me hopes that *ALL* our French pilots in New Eden and their loved ones are safe.
Please know that you are not alone, and to those of you who have been personally affected by this abhorrent tragedy, please broadcast for reps so the EvE Community can take care of our own as we have always done.

Best Wishes,
Raesha Nardieu

What a sad day for all of humanity. It is utterly beyond me how human beings can be so creative... and then in the same collective breath, commit such barbaric and cowardly acts. Sad
Vive la France

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never. Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

When I opened the morning paper today I cried. I can not understand, or rather want to understand, why people act in such horendous ways.

My thoughts are with France, Paris, the people that lost their lives and their relatives.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

I am English, and am still hoping that I can go watch the England vs France friendly football match next week, just so that I can stand and sing, to the best of my ability, the French National Anthem.

Us English enjoy nothing better then a good argument with the French. But that's what family do. We argue and fight, but don't think anybody else can pick on one of us. You pick on one, you pick on us both.

My heart goes out to you guys. When my city had a tragedy like this you guys showed your support for us, so when your time of need came for support believe me when i say we didn't forget. I really hope recovery from all this goes by fast but you all never forget the people lost. You all are in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families in that have lost loved ones due to the senseless and cowardly violence. For the people that were injured, I wish them a speedy recovery.

This is thread ironic because nobody in the EVE community cared when the exact same happened in somewhere else, earlier this year.Roll

Too bad I wasn't subbed to EVE when it occured.Otherwise,I'd have created such a thread.

Maybe not enough people died? Maybe the people who died weren't Christians? I'll just leave this here and I won't bite the flamebait in case anyone tries to write one.

*Shrug* People die

This reminds me of when 200 000 Ethopians were starving and the Norwegian went on a rampage and killed a few handful of people. Then because it was gun violence the starving people were forgotten.

In this instance we have a plane full of people who were blown up and a bunch that died in Lebanon that is hardly mentioned. Ironically, Ethopia is heading for another food crisis due to draught and Sudanese refugees.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

After Charlie Hebdo I despaired, seeing how quickly common sense gave way to opportunity.
Now this time not 12 but 130 people died and every single death avoidable.... will it be enough this time to realise who the enemy is or does Europe require even more precious blood spilt?
