Blood Harvest Was An Awesome Idea!

The Blood Harvest event was an excellent idea, and I believe CCP should put on more of these styled events in the future.

The sites were quick, objectives were clear and challenging enough that most of the player base could participate, and the prize was worthy for the challenge.

I ended up collecting a few Cerebral Accelerators and a number of skins. I hope that CCP puts on more of these "weekend" events in the future because it keeps the veterans entertained and the new players intrigued.

I've been participating in Mechwarrior Online, and the developers there 'PGI,' do similar events on the weekends. The challenges are steep sometimes, but the prizes are nice. Despite criticism, these events keep players coming back to the game.

Let's do it again!

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

-STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!

The fact of your heart beating is awesome. That the sun hits earth from just the right distance so that heart can beat is awesome. That children are born and so with them new hearts that beat is awesome.

Things found in games are not awesome.

I dont mind another such event. But they should be related more to EVE lore, not just an excuse for doing haloween or easter or anything such in game.

So be it.

But I'm prepared for another one of these events.

Although I think there were issues in the aftermath of the accelerators fizzling out. Over the last few days, the remaining time between one skill I've been training has gone up and down. Yesterday, it said my skill needed 2 days to finish. Today, it says 3. Odd, but otherwise, the event was awesome, and I'd be willing to do it again.

Corporation wide we had enough accelerators to have every training character boosted for the entire duration of the event.

We collectively didn't mind. Lol

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

Wait what are you talking about? I though this event was just a excuse to sell PLEX and skins at inflated prices.

CCP does PvE??, is this the end of the world?! EVE must be dying if CCP is cathering to filthy casuals.

This event was wonderful, we need more stuff like this to get more people logging in.

While I didn't participate myself, it seems that a lot of people did and that they had fun doing it.

I see nothing wrong with CCP continuing to create these little events. There is not a lot of things that aren't totally boring for the more casual player. These quick special events are a good move towards attracting or keeping them invested.

I enjoyed the event. The boost to skill training is appreciated and so was having another location for PVP in our wormhole chain.

Totally agree it was a really enjoyable event. PvE that wasn't boring, loot that was desirable to have and lots of opportunities for pvp too.

Was a great format for future development in my view.

While the event was fun, future events should not be SP handouts, but other rewards. There are enough other rewards in EVE that could be used without messing with SP.

Dedicated events should happen more often. To drive and propel/motivate the storyline, events all players null/high. Monthly basis or so, or flexible dates, customized "raids" by Devs. These should be an epic-scale threat. Jeopardization.

Intuitive events than standard Incursions, customized maybe by a dedicated team from CCP. Throw the playerbase an oddball, test and threat us with consequences like sabotage or racketeering over lore events. Drifters should be more badass to front a consequential behaviour, test playerbase to take as serious business, push us to respond not only as reward but for the sake.

Just throwing out an idea^ hopefully I don't get hated by sov. overlords.

The Event was actually really really nice. I don't PvE often, Like got a locater agent and THAT was it for me. It was pretty horrible. I really really hate EVE PvE.

And with all that, I went out and ran the sites and had fun.

So if we could get more of these it would be pretty bad ass.

I too think, that this is a nice idea.

This are season events, like they happen in many other Mulitplayer Online Games.
I will quote WoW since i know them, but those events happen to in Final Fantasy Online and others.

Since even Real Life has those "season events", why not in EvE which has a lot in common with work days. OK, a happy santa clause ain't EvE. But Santa Claws, or Sansha Klaus would be. Just think more in direction of futuruma robo santa.

Yes almost all events are player driven and thats fine that way. However from a business point of view it is a good thing to entertain the customers a little more.

I do not believe, that EvE player are that much different than other online players. I believe they are the same. Maybe the group with the biggest count of senior gamers. MAYBE
Still all gamers like events, where they can celebrate not only the game, but in game.
