Probing ruined.

New probing really sucks balls.

You can't move the probe box nearly as easily. You have to click and click and click to try and drag it.

The icons are horrible.

The map interface is bad.



CCP, you have officially ruined probing.

My dedicated scanning Alt could scan down a Signature in seconds with the old map and setup, now I just spent 5 minutes trying to get ONE signature scanned down. With all lvl 4 skills and implants.

garbage.


Why change something that works and works well for no reason??

Your "dedicated scanning alt" only has level 4 skills? Roll

Pretty sure you can turn the new scanning window off - like the beta map.

Yea, dedicated. Who gives a **** what lvl skills he has. Dont respond just to troll.

If you can't click on the box because the Scanner Probe keeps getting in the way, just click on the Markers Icon on the top left of the screen and deselect Scanner Probe.

it'll make grabbing the box near infinitely easier.

And no you can't turn it off....

I turned it off in the options however now When I hit F10 I dont see probes in the map.


Every time I try to open the Solar systems map the "NEW" solar systems map comes up.

Ugh. So I guess you have to CLOSE both of the new ones before it actually works.

Glad I had to waste 15 minutes figuring this all out.

Go into general settings and turn off the options for the new scanning mode?

I realize it isn't as exciting as histrionic-laden forum posts, but man.

Yea, I did that. But if you keep the Dscan and Probe windows open, it doesnt take effect.

You have to close those 2 windows after you uncheck it in options and THEN reopen the Probe and Dscan windows.

Anyway, glad theres an option to turn that crap off.

CORRECTION: You can't turn off the green line nonsense NOOOOOOOOOOoOoOoooooooooooooooooooooo

Someone told me if I delete system32 directory it will fix this problem so I'm going to try that next.

It won't because the issue is that there are tons of other brackets that need to be displayed but are easier to grab than the scanning box.
When you put your probes at the center of the sig, it's already a PITA, because sigs have their own bracket now. They never used to have one unless you finished probing it.

Man, stop running to the forums for every single bit that is not working as it was anymore, have a constructive idea how to make it better or learn adapt and overcome - That is the core of eve not asteroids or even spaceships.

I agree. It's pants, but it's not going away any time soon, so get used to it. I'm sure they're well aware of its failings following the deluge of complaints posted post its release on sisi. Let's hope they do something about its evident ergonomic issues in the near future.
