I found the missing files - hit refresh from the view menu to get those pesky files that were preventing the TQ client from starting up.

I will add safeguards to prevent this issue from happening again, sorry for the inconvenience.

I think I know what's going on with that - I'll add that to my list.

I'm investigating - seems to be more fallout from the same issue as yesterday.

Don't know if this will help > Top right corner you have the gear wheel > General > Shared Cache Settings > Verify...

I will say, run it while your playing. Will lag you clients up really bad.

Tried it - hate it. The EVE Clonemaker works find and I prefer having the stand-alone apps, so I'll stick with that. Access to SiSi would be nice, but the Mac version that's deployed for SiSi is usually so bugged by the time it's fixed the testing aspect is basically over.

• Didn't properly import my profiles (this should be an automatic function), and I honestly have no idea what the two coded files are supposed to reference since I actually had 5 characters. So both my main character and the second one I added had everything reset to scratch. Been there - done that (more than several times) - so not going through that hassle again.
• Second account I added prompted me for a stupidly lengthy user agreement which conveniently had the "Accept" button hidden behind various advertisements (it wasn't immediately apparent you could re-size the launcher). Why this doesn't appear in the forefront is completely beyond me.
• There were various downloads (including a Cider one) that were in excess of 150MB - excluding the download for the beta launcher (no idea what these were for since I thought with Parallax everything was up-to-date).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Same outcome for me. Mac OSX 10.9.5

I tried the launcher again at 3:50 Pacific (UT -8) it downloaded two files (about 15 mb) but when I tried it I got the same message:

Verification Failure.

I restarted and tried again. Launcher indicated it was getting two files (although there was no progress bar) same result.

Verification failure same two files missing.

I trashed the first beta launcher download and re-downloaded it. Works fine.

First - this is a Beta version. There are going to be bugs and issues.

Second - I've used the Beta launcher from the first day it was open for mac Users. I even took the time to post the issue with the clone maker settings and other issues. Even a work around for getting your settings up and going, tell CCP Snorlax could work out the issue with clones.

Third - The Mac client is a special baby, seeing as most of the support has to be handed off to some ****y third party. Now that we have easy access to Sisi, it will become CCPs responsibility to make sure we have a reason to get on there to test things out on our side.

I don't mean to seem like I'm attacking you, but I ask that you step back and take your time with this. Get in the ingame OS X chat channel and talk to people. I spent like 3 hours talking to CCP Maxwell about issue with the launcher. Started it up today, and I already see a number of updates and tweaks.

CCP could easily stop supporting the Mac OS if they felt like it - please take time to work with CCP to make it so we have ability to keep playing the greatest game ever on the greatest OS ever.

Thank you!

Thanks that fixed my issue i had with missing the "File not found: C:\sisi\bin\_yaml.pyd""

As simple as going into the application folder and trashing the eve launcher application and re-downloading and installing it again.

I think I know what's going on with that - I'll add that to my list.

Getting same issue here.

In addition, if I try to close the blackscreen browser, it crashes the client (thankfully this doesnt affect the rest of them anymore <3 <3). I also noticed that from the old launcher/client, when you opened the browser, a second eve icon would appear in the dock and was identical to the client icon. Clicking on it did nothing, closing crashed client. This second icon no longer appears when you open the browser from a client from the new launcher.

Aside from that, it seems to me as though the 'launch selected' is a bit ineffective. Try to launch two clients and it just sits there, sometimes it will open one or the other, but never both (so far). However, manually clicking the launch buttons on the individual account rows would launch them as expected (unless you did it rapidfire, then problems arose).

There might be a few more I'm forgetting, but I'll report on those when I get back home. Aling with bugreports.

Also, is there some way to make sense of the settings tab options on each account row (hope i remembered the name right)? I've been using the one ending in 'tranquility' for all accounts so far. All the others seem to just put my settings back to brand new mode. They are all labeled with numbers and stuff.

Also2: seems I can't get more than 2 clients running before blackscreen or crash (just the one). Used to be able to run 3 normally and 4 on a good day.

In the subject of multi-client launching. I noticed if you use the default 1 second. You get major hang out. I changed mine at first to like 3 seconds but that still was sluggish. I have since moved to 15 seconds and don't see any major hang ups, besides what we had under the old launcher.

I've had access to SiSi by downloading a separate build and tweaking the server parameters through the command line. The problem isn't that Mac users cannot access SiSi - it's that the first few updates usually break the Mac client such that we can't offer much in the way of feedback beyond 'the Mac client is broken'. By the time the issues are resolved (if they're resolved, because we've had a few instances where the Mac client was effectively out during an entire cycle) - the testing/feedback portion has usually expired. After enduring this for the better part of 6 months and basically feeling like I had a non-esistent contribution, I decided to finally throw in the towel.

And while I realize the Mac EVE Launcher is a beta, my point is that for the hassle involved in configuring and getting it setup it provides a minimal advantage over my existing method of double-clicking on two icons. In fact, for clones this bypasses the launcher altogether. And unless things change with the QA for Mac-related SiSi participation, there's no benefit in having access to the test servers, either.

I have been in limited correspondence with some of the devs on other Mac-related issues and provided some feedback and testing where I could, so it's not really a question of taking a step back. It's rather waiting for CCP to take a step forward and finally address these issues to the point where the game becomes enjoyable from a Mac standpoint again.

Thank you! I have been pondering about my last response!!! Been bothered by it, thinking I had maybe been to harsh.
I also remember the broken test server for Mac players. So much so that I stopped even trying to test.

Yet, I don't know if we need to apply pressure to CCP or to Cider developers, whom we don't have access to.

Is this new launcher also come with a new Cider? Does this launcher only work with test Eve servers?

Happy to jump in and test. I'd like to know exactly what it is being tested tho.
