fantasy going haywire here tho IMHO the biggest mining (support) vessel that cant actualy mine (except for mining drones) henceforth beeing NOT ongrid in the belt, saying that if you would give it a tru reason to be in the belt it will be there.
1st reason: it cant actualy mine Give it the ability to fit 4 Harvesters with a 175% mining amount bonus When in deployed mode
wich will be around 200% with mining bonus
2nd reason: its too dangerous to be in deployed mode on grid in null sec. give a 1 minute cycle on the Industrial Core.

Then Thomas will be a really usefull engine for the other engines will tell you so

Idea of the rorqual orignially was to let it be the back in the belt to pull cans and defend the fleet, maybe even haul a bit, again a support.

as much as i'd love to see it sickle DD mining belts its inpractical as its there to back up other mining ships. not outmine them itself Cool

Regardless of what CCP does concerning the Rorqual, I don't think it will ever be considered a viable platform with the new meta emerging in Eve. Mine has been parked (docked) for the past 2 1/2 years!

Last time I saw it I was shocked. I estimate it will require the following to get it flying again:

50 Elite Slaves @ $8,997,500.00 a unit
75 Exotic Dancers @ $89,000.00 a unit
10 Exotic Dancers (Male) @ $60,000.00 a unit ( For the slaves who walk on the other side )
25 Fedo @ $15,000,000.00 a unit ( to kill the vermin )
100 Janitors @ $500,000.00 a unit
15 Science Graduates @ $899,000.00 a unit
100 Tourists @ $2,500.00 a unit ( nutritional supplement for Fedo)
16 Capital Jump Drive @ $12,699,696.00 a unit ( mine are corroded as hell )

for a grand total of : $1,099,069,000 isk

Not worth a plug nickle, and yes, yoos can has my stuff...Shocked

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never. Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

have one aswell with all the sjiney skills to complement it but its WAY to dangerous using it other then at a POS even the compression option is obsolete.
did have a few spare janitors to keep it mothballed...

...2. What are your plans concerning the Rorqual?
The Rorqual is like Off-Grid Links, we will conquered them, but are not ready to talk about plans. We have some old plans, some new plans, and changes may be implemented in Spring 2016 when the other Capital changes are implemented, before we change the Rorqual, it needs to meet 3 requirements
It needs to do powerful things on the field
Effectively support other miners
Defensive abilities that can be good enough to survive
The Rorqual needs love, and has been neglected for a while, but we are working on changes

Star Citizen will be a fully functional game by the time the Rorq is rebalanced. Might as well switch over now. Cheers

I would accept Rorq hulls and BPOs for a symbolic price of 1 isk. Please priv to me, cheers.

Get rid of the current industrial core or whatever it's called.

New module deploys the rorq providing AOE boosts to mining ships within 150KM. Rorq receives a rep bonus much like the current bastion module. And perhaps boost drone damage.

Boom on grid mining booster. Boosts just have to be worth using over an orca.

I think CCP's opinion can be summed up by the following brief statement:

Rorq can have the mining gang boost thing, that's fine

But the special deal of the Rorqual should be that it can ninja moon mine. You jump a rorq in to a moon and run the seige cycle. The moon miner stops immediately for 24h. After 10 mins, the Rorq trololols away with a day's worth of moon minerals in it's ore hangar.

As much as I love that idea, nobody will run moon mining POSes any more. They'll run a Rorq for all the moons in a constellation.

I don't see a problem with that. R64 ninja mining. Now alliences must pay attention tot heir money making machines, lest a Rorqual come in to scoop it all up and trololol out. Plus, Rorqual pilots out of the pos doing SOMETHING.
