maybe it's just today..maybe t's because it's wednesday...

i'm dong some level one missions today and i'm just not understanding or getting the idea of what they're asking me to or get.
i am fluent in english and i am pretty sure i was able to understand the mission descriptions well enough..but when i go out to the location...it's just too vague...
i'm not understanding what enemies or things they're wanting me to get or beat, etc. The only thins am dong are just looking out into space in all directions around my ship, looking at the menu thingy on the right side that has all the red triangles and star gates and asteroid belts, etc..but i'm just no understanding where the actual missions objectives are located.
In the past, when i finished the mission successfully, i would get an audible png and a nice little green check mark, next to the mission information thing on the left hand side near the top under the info about the system security rating and system name.

But i'm just at a loss as to why i'm not understanding it and having difficulty with it...there are an big huge circles and arrows on the screen pointing me to what i a supposed to find....i've already had to quit one of my level 1 missions because it ust seemed too unimformative and i just couldn't find what they needed me to find.

i almost want to quit mission running now...

CCP needs to help new players more...we are new, so we barely know anythng about anything...we only look blankly at the screen hopping for pop up menus and instructions that are MORE CLEAR, LESS VAGUE, LESS CONFUSING, MORE PRECISE, MORE HELPFUL, and..LESS OF A CHORE TO UNDERSTAND OR BREAK DOWN...............

maybe it's just an unlucky day...or maybe the mission agents are trying to trick me...or maybe i'm just playing in the wrong time zone....
it just really puts me in a.."not so happy mood to do missions" kind of thing...that might even confuse me more then the ones i came across today.

i am only doing level 1 mission...for caldari navy.....security missions....i heard that they're only supposed to e encounter missions, where you just have to fight npc ships. i thought it would be easy, but now i am not so sure........

i just want to almost quit doing missions now...i might as well do anomolies because that counts are pve also....
or even worse, mining.....you fight a rock in outer space with a laser beam.....how fun.......
*sigh*
*face palms self*
how is it possible that i am having a blonde moment when i a not even blonde?..........................................

oh, by the way, any suggestions and feedback would be appreciate.
Thank you.

If you are going to rant this hard every time something doesn't go your way you are going to fit right in, welcome to eve!

If you give us the mission name perhaps we could be of more help. Or just go here http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=missionreports and look up the mission and complete

OK ...

The old tutorial system had a slightly better (but not that much better) intro to missions and you can still do those tutorials by going to the old schools and talking to the old career agents. As a bonus you get free ships and stuff.

Some pointers:

1. Eve Survival as recommended above will help a lot.

2. The place you eventually see a green tick will have a mouse over icon that will give some sort of pointer to the next thing to do though its not always that helpful. Note that sometimes you do not get a "green tick" till you dock back at station with the correct item in your cargo hold.

3. A good part of your problem is probably overview settings. For mission running its good to have your own presaved overview tabs that show a) wrecks and b) Large collidable objects and large collidable structures (two different things) .

4. if you are stuck on a specific mission post in the Missions and Complexes forum and people will help.

get in a player corp or something. You need in game friends some of which are vets. You have to be able to ask people questions in real time or starting in this game will be rough for you.

If you had googled that mission instead of attention raging you'd probably have solved it by now. No further info on which mission it is, this is just a rant. Or you could have asked in Rookie help or normal help but nope... ranting it is.

Would you be able to post a link to a screenshot of the confusing screen?

Press printscreen to take a screenshot in-game, then use eve-files.com to upload the screenshot, then post the link that evefiles gives you in this thread.

So you can't figure out something so the game is too challenging and needs to change? A smarter person would just find something that suits them better rather than insisting the world change to suit them.

Honestly though the PvE in this game is pretty dumbed down already. If you want something even more dumbed down you'd have to look into something like Hello Kitty Island Adventure or something along those lines.

Or you could quit being lazy and slow down and read mission briefings and do a little googling. Or you could just enjoy figuring it out on your own.

However I am forced to admit that coming to the forums and crying is a valid option.

That's cute, maybe you could explain how a noob has opinions like this.

CCP dev blogs....are publiclly accessed information that is not exclsive to registered eve players.
the internet also has stuff.
so i know basics..but not how to play the game itself.
i wouldn't be asking nooby questions if i already knew now, would i?

but this is besides the point..you can ask CCP to disclose my records and it shows i only have one account and one character, that was created in june 2015 and that's the only one registered to my email..CCP has all the numbers, so they know the truth..they can verify that i am A LEGIT NOOOOOOB

Wow, the the rude unkind responses from some of you really give Eve a bad image. I wouldn't be surprised if Eve continued to loose players with the disrespect of other people some of you show. You should be ashamed of yourselves to even think of calling yourselves human. What little monsters your parents raised. No wonder the world is a mess like it is and you are tthe future?

Oh you found out my secret-- I am actually not human. I am a semi-sapient Komodo dragon. I cannot speak for anyone else.
