Gila fit for PvE Wormholes

Hello there forum,


I am a new player here in Eve, i run a Gila (i have around 3 mil SP)
and i like to do wormholes (c1 and c2 with my skills now are quite fast).


I am looking for a fit that can do the job fast and secure, salvage fast and get the hell out fast if tacklers show up in DC.

I currently use this fit and would like some recommendations:

Now, i've seen posts here with Gilas around 900dps etc, i guess these are players with many more skills points than me.

This Fit gives me 420 dps and a tank of 183. Effective HP 53.500 (rating 4.700 whatever that means) and a speed of 1500 m/s
I have an align time of 11.3 sec and warp out 12 (which i guess is a lot).

My point is, i want a fit that can do the sleepers fast, salvage fast and get out of there fast if anyone approaches. I also use a tractor unit to gather the loot while i fight. Is that wrong because of its increased signature?

Any help or thoughts would be welcomed (as long as they are to help me improve and not just make yourself feel better for knowing more :) )

Don't fly the Gila against sleepers so these are just some general thoughts that may or may not help.
So please check these in your fit tool of choice to see if they are valid before you try them on your ship.


If you are concerned that an MTU makes you easier to spot then drop the MWD for an AB becuase of the huge sig penalty the MWD gives you.

An improved cloak(no not the cov-ops variant) in the highs may be helpful if for no other reason than the MWD / cloak trick to escape from would be attackers.

Stacking penalties may be hitting your 3rd mid slot large shield extender pretty hard especially considering that you have an extender in your rigs. Using your fit tool of choice I would suggest that you look at other options for that mid slot or the rig and see if you can find some improvement there. Some possible changes.
Invulnerability field for a general resist increase.
EM shield hardener allowing you to replace the EM rig with another purger or a rig to aide some other aspect of your fit like your drones or capacitor.
A shield recharger is another option here.

The damage control is an excellent choice over all but there might be better options depending on what you are using it for so you could look at that as well.

Those suggestions mostly sound good, though I think a lot of improvement will simply come from improving your skills, not sure there is much more you can do until then.

Also just wanted to add that shield extenders (and armor plating for that matter) don't have stacking penalties. I think stacking penalties only affect items that increase a percentage, nto when they increase a set amount. Seems to be how it works, though I don't know for certain.

I use a MTU do a few sites then go pick them up.

Land on site and start orbiting something @50km and speed tank it

also highs can be fit to taste with my skills I get around 460 DPS

i may not be the most experienced pilot. but if i were going into a wh to do pve i would fit for pvp.

make sure u spam dscan on 1 au 360 degrees in any case.

i am doing c3 sites in my gila (for the sakes of it)
it wont be possible with the upcoming nerf (-1 low)

so let me give you a few tips
183 tank you said? could use more
use a salvage dessie or salvage drones if you have to, but dont waste your highs, missile dps too good to ignore
swap that navigation computer for tank n stuff
