We're along way from release and no real details yet. May not be all doom and gloom in the end.

I'm so glad I bought one of those 20oz tear bottles at EVE Vegas. Looks like I'll need it to harvest.

"When they came for the Learning Skills, I cheered, because I didn't want to wait for faster training/other players to skill faster than me."

"When they came for sentries to cripple Ishtars and assist doctrines, I didn't care, because I only use lights"

"When they came for R&D agents, I looked the other way because I didn't like that other players were accruing resources that way"

"When they came for my carriers (again), nobody was left to stand with me in defense of a play-style that they had not personally chosen"

I called these sorts of changes when the self-serving, impatient player base encouraged CCP to refund and abolish the Learning Skills. To this day, people will swear that was incredible wisdom on the part of CCP, while decrying the current changes that undermine their choices in the exact same way - completely ignoring the precedent that encouraging the removal of the (admittedly slow and annoying) Learning Skills set.

You reap what you sow, and I am enjoying watching this game die for everyone else in the same way they killed it for me; "Yes, CCP! Make it a little easier for me. BUT JUST ME, then no more."

If you knew how CCP operated in the first place, had yuears to watch it unfold, you really wouldnt be surprised or mad. In the end CCP needs those vets to keep skilling into something new. They need to change the way the game state is because of stagnation and most often than not those changes will **** off the vast majority of players that use those specific end game/min/maxing tactics to pwn noobs or red crosses. CCP in the end are the biggest trolls in game and I find that fantastic and funny as FOOK!! to others that dont get that after several years in game and leave such long tirades of BOO HOO HOO!!! MY GAME!! In their wake. The reality is it isnt YOUR game at all and never has been it is CCPs and noone elses and in the end youll have to deal with that or there is the door.

That being said Im kinda looking forward for something new to train, do, use and have in my arsenal. Im OK with the changes even though it means more time and effort. Why? Because I LIKE that sorta time and effort, gives me something to do, think about, plan, train, execute and win at.

So heres my tear bucket... please try to cry INTO it and fill er up.. be a doll and tell me when its full so I can taste of it and replace it with a new one alright?Twisted

Tears are delish!!

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I'd bet the new ship will not only use both logi 5 and capital remote rep 5 (for T2 rep modules) but that if they do want to introduce new skills to fly the ship that there will be enough time to skill into it before the change over is made. Otherwise null is going to be pretty damn chaotic for the time it takes everyone to skill into the new ship. Almost want to see that happen honestly.

I mean look at what they did when marauders/bastion change were made. They announced the requirements ahead of time and most were able to skill into the new module before it was released. Granted there might have been some superfluous training as things changed but the end result was the same.

I'm all for righteous indignation, but only when it's actually you know, justified.

Quote:
All your months/years of skilling to max out have, yet again, been rendered 100% irrelevant and useless (Itty V, Orca anyone?) as CCP, AGAIN, shifts the skilling windows of time.

You got Logi V for your carrier you say? Sorry, that was a complete waste of time.

I trained skills and then used them at the time. By the time they changed wasn't bothered.

I could understand the complaints from newer players who had just trained something, but not vets. They had their chance to fully utilise that SP investment, but probably didn't because they were saving it up in some sort of piggy bank scheme ready for when they had the nerve to actually play.

Logi V is never wasted btw Roll

Interesting how this 'grr changing skills' mentality directly contradicts 'grr customisable SP' but the same people will argue both sides without recognising the obvious contradition.

Quote:
CCP is proving that it is virtually pointless to play the game as is because everything you do, every thing you aim for will be taken away and re-purposed... it is a guarantee at this point. You cannot set goals, they will not apply to anything sooner or later.

Yes, new goals are an insult to geriatrics with nothing left to train anyway >.>

Say, OP, do you suppose CCP will have a lottery for the BPO's to build the new XL T2 modules?
