I have played Eve, off and on, for a few years. Mainly off, as I go back to when you had to learn Learning skills, blah blah who cares. Been gone a long time, got bored, re-upped some accounts. Figured I would knock off the rust with missions (so boring I always quit in the past), and perhaps roll a station trading alt to generate ISK.

Blah blah trading is pretty boring, start space trucking junk from Amarr to Jita and that is going well, although also boring. Then one day GANK, and I mean wow that was fast. Well done.

Now some may expect tears, delicious tears. No, I bow down on bended knee, and upon rising, I golf clap. Thank you, sincerly, Mr Ganker. You, with your sacrifice of a T1 ship, have convinced me that I should just focus on buying some PLEX to fund a pvp toon. I'm training up a new pilot, and now that there is the upcoming skill point extraction tool coming, I will gut the older bums down to 5M and feed the fresh faced one, who will most likely jump into FW. I don't care about LP, I don't care which faction or side, I only want to shoot people in the face and have fun in this game.

Thank you, Hi Sec Gankers. You remind me that I do not enjoy farming NPCs in repetitive missions. I dont want to space truck. I do not wish to reload the market page and .01 ISK war with some bot, or even worse, another person whose mind is mushed out by doing so, too.

I just want to blow stuff up. I have done PvP in pretty much any other game I have played, I just never got to try it in Eve. Your destruction of my very boring Bestower has shown me the light. I do not want to pimp out a Nightmare for level 4's, nor do I really want to see if a rail fit Tengu can farm level 3's faster than a gank fit Mach. First off, missions. Secondly, all of those ships are much more enticing gank targets that my sad little Bestower was. Obviously, Eve has changed. I don't need to be beaten with a gank stick too many times to get the picture.

Some say stop shooting carebears. I say hit them harder. Deliver more wake up calls. Fly dangerous! o7

I'm not in CODE, and could care less about bumping miners or ganking haulers. I do want to get into some pew pew with people just as eager to melt my face as I am theirs, though. I am glad that this ganker woke me up to the fact that there are only so many hours available to me for entertainment.

Hoping to get into a roaming fleet tomorrow on another guy. Yes, I know there was a scammer in Eve with a similar name. Now. Just my luck he liked DS9, too.

Confirming that this is exactly how it works.

Whenever someone posts about having been ganked, regardless of the content of the post, everyone else in the thread is entitled to comment on the quantity and quality of the tears of the OP, regardless of whether or not tears are actually present.

OP - Why not spread the love? Go gank someone else.

Some advice. Don't feel like you need to train up before you start PVPing. I made that mistake as a newbie.

Most fights in EVE aren't close. Skillpoint advantage will decide the close ones but is meaningless otherwise. Focus on player skills, not SP - the most important skill is recognising your opponent's likely capabilities in the first seconds of a fight.
