save/export all settings/ restore all settings

how about we get a way to save and backup all eve settings?

i really love to lose all window positions, grafic setting, module placement, drone groups, drone locations in every ship i have etc when eve randomly die, but for ppl that dont like that stuff a save/backup and restore all settings would be nice

a thing like that whulde even bee useful when you move to a diffrent computer, reinstall etc...


(and no copy paste all eve settings to the right folders dont work)

last time I tried it, which was when the beta launcher came out, it worked

Holy cow, he left IDLE GUNS...

Yes Chainsaw is correct, the most recent update to the beta launcher allows duplication of eve settings. This is some of what you want.

You can make a CMD file to run that copies your eve appdata folders to your desktop or chosen location, or do it manually @ C:\users\%username%\appdata\local\ccp\eve

But yes, I agree, if the beta launcher had a button to export or import settings to a destination of your choice, much like import/export of your EVEMON character or even an identity file for Teamspeak.

that the folder i tryed to copy/paste the other day and it dident work, dont know if its make a diffrent that im on the old launcher but will try the new lancher
