And so the DEV ALTS keep posting walls of text to promote the game.

Ha, weclome to Eve, baby!

I know how you're feeling, when i first started playing.. almost two year ago now, damn time goes fast.. I was shooting me in the foot for not starting earlier when i first heard about Eve in 2005 or so.

I had the 'fear of lowsec' rather heavily pounded into me at the start myself, when I accidently fly into a low sec system, and jumped straight into a 200 man fleet flight.

Nowadays I practicly live in low, though I still love doing my industry as well, but it really requires high sec, as stuff is far more available there, and easier to move. ( SAFER transport of goods, NOT SAFE! Yes I know that one. But at least you can fly a freighter thorugh high without getting ganked if you know what you're doing. can't do that in low. )

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

Most of the rumors have a thread of truth to them. Lots of propaganda too, loads of trolls, some though not as much as one would think, plain stupidity but in the end, if you are enjoying the experience I have no right to take that from you.

Welcome to EVE, enjoy your stay.

As long as you understand it's player driven, free for all, all bets are off? Welcome to EVE, enjoy your stay.

Red versus Blue is not just a reference to the Halo machinima.

During peace-time you usually don't want to spoil relations with your neighbors by making them the enemy in your wargames and exercises.

So it's convention to have Blue Country (you) fight Red Country (enemy) - although I guess in Soviet Russia the colors might be the other way round Blink.

I read all the OP, that was a nice post for CCP devs to know their hard work has paid off to an extent of the NP-EXP.

Whomever interested you into EVE probably understood that you had the forgo to adopt analytics far abroad than any other game. Most people just quit EVE cause they get overwhelmed.

Good for you, and good luck and fly safe and smart

Hi Maximillian,

+1 and welcome to the wonderful game universe that is Eve! Big smile

I thoroughly enjoyed the OP, I always find it interesting to read other new players' perceptions and compare and contract them against my own. Wishing you the very best with RvB and your future in New Eden.

The best way to learn in EVE is to do it. But it looks like you already know that. Welcome to the life pilot.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

You might want to reconsider that part with the "superior intelligence", but obviously you are quite new to this part of the forums and haven't had your share of "nerf everything that can hurt me"-threads yet.

Also, Red Federation best Federation- I will most likely be back once I have stocked the markets with loads of shiny guns for hulkageddon.

I am looking forward to flying with or against you-

Fly unsafe and have fun! Cool

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

You will find they have an aversion to reading long posts. Also some of the replies might make you rethink your opinion.

I dont think this is quite true.

In general humans have an aversion to reading large quantities of un-interesting text, but the 'book' is still something that billions of humans indulge themselves in everyday.

But a book is interesting, well thought out, presented clearly and gramatically correct. This wall of text was just that, interesting, well presented and mostly correct.

I always enjoy reading these kind of posts, especially where the poster has put a decent amount of content into it, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you!

As for average intelect, well 'getting into eve' at all.. in my opinion is like an IQ test, if you actually play it for longer than the trial or longer than the first month then its like you have passed the 'intellectual test' .. maybe intelectual is the wrong term, its more curiosity about your envoiroment, determination to understand something or just a simple thirst for knowledge or an experience that is unusual.

Either way, Eve players in general, no matter how they might 'appear' are always good thinkers and learners.
