Drone control interface idea

As a newly inspired drone boat enthusiast I noticed that the drone control mechanics in the game are very tedious..
Right-click drop-down menu, deploy drones, engage target etc.. not very fluid at all..
So I got to looking at the mode control buttons added for t3 destroyers...
And thought this would be great if the did something like this for drone control..
Maybe have buttons to:
Arrow deploy / recall
Arrow engage / disengage
Arrow orbit, guard, assist..

Maybe have a drone control panel that lets us drag drone control buttons to our normal F1-F12 keys like we do with modules / weapons..

Good idea? Yes / No???

Drag your group, in drone window, back and forth from in bay and in space areas to deploy/recall. Also, you can drag a group from drone window into space to deploy them.
"F" is default keyboard shortcut for engage. "Shift-R" is default shortcut key for recall. IIRC, you can set a keyboard shortcut for return and orbit, though there isn't one by default.
There are other drone commands you can set keyboard shortcuts for, but I can't remember what they are as I never use them.

Overall, I say no to having commands on the HUD to control drones.

Thanks man!
I didn't know that...
I'll check it out when I get off work..

But no to an idea that would just make the interface more friendly ?
You don't have to add anything per say that would clutter up the screen..
But a panel on the side bar that has drone control buttons we can place in the f1-f12 spots like we do weapons and mods..
It's just an interface improvement..

It is unnecessary. You can already create keyboard shortcuts for most drone commands, so there is no reason for further redundantcy.
