Make player standings to NPC corps a tradeable commodity.

In conjunction with current moves to allow newbros access to more game content I propose allowing players to extract and sell standings points they no longer use and place them on the market as items called something appropriate like "corporation referral". Newbros can then buy these and gain high standings with corporations so that they can access level 4 missions etc, without grinding through the lower levels.

* Would help prevent losing new players to boredom of low level grinding, allow them to get into better isk making activities more quickly, perhaps so they can gain enough isk for that SP packet that will keep them in the game longer.

* Enables players to profit from standings they no longer require if they move on to different areas of the game or different activities.

* Puts more control of our characters in our hands, fits nicely into the overall game design philosophy of giving us control over our experience through cooperation and competition with each other.

Thanking you in advance,

Cecil B D'Milf.

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

That's not how standings work.
Eve has established that Capsuleers have minds like a computer, to which things can be added or in this case, removed.

Standings are basically reputation.
You can't give or sell reputation, it has to be earned.

I just finished grinding up Amarr standings I at so I could do anything besides lvl 1 missions and I still do not support the idea of standing selling.

Hence selling it as a "referral". If SPs can be traded, I see no reason standings cannot.

Why "of course" ? You don't seem to be adding anything of intellectual value to the thread, just emotional reaction.

I humbly apologize; however, I understand my irony as support for Joe Risalo's point in his second and third paragraph, which included all the intellectual value this thread is worth. Roll

But sure thing, CCP opened the flood gates for this kind of extraordinary daftness, so let's take this a logical step further, shall we? As soon as the character who bought standing towards a particular NPC corp commits a crime against another capsuleer in High sec, the NPC corp(s) will deny this character docking rights to their stations for the as many days as equivalent to the number of standing levels this character bought. It is only fair that NPC corps retaliate against abusers of their goodwill these characters did not earn, but buy on a black market.

Whaaa???

A suggestion that actually punishes players for ganking is HS?

FOR SHAME!!!

Don't you know the Uber elite, HS ultra-gankers will rage this one?

Seriously though, I love how anything that makes the life of a HS ganker even slightly more difficult and/or slightly more beneficial to carebears, is treated as garbage.

Do I look like I give a penny about the feelings or wellbeing of gankers? Roll They can go to low sec and run missions there. See, would even be a nice little driver for the elite in the game to populate Low sec a bit more. The overall wellbeing of the game is always of utmost importance to me. *chuckles*

That way is not fast enough and the arcane and complicated process could intimidate newer players, who have no idea how to play EVE. You cannot expect them to put up with this kind of complex player-created mechanism. Roll

Exactly... the process between players already exists, this would just simplify an already existing process much as the proposal to sell skill extractors does with the character bazaar.

This really.

Unless supplementing with etc to plex to isk the race to level 4 mission running almost runs at some paces as getting isk for the level 4 mission runner as I recall. If doing etc to plex to isk....well playing eve wrong for starters there. I am happy for them RL gives them this option in life. Good for them. Lets not have this **** on other game mechanics however.

Got the money for this, go buy that uber ship and wreck some level 3's to bang out some standings. I am hearing in the rumor mill machs are really good to smash level 3's for productive mission runs done right.

If avoiding too many faction missions hits (or stint in FW).....made that bed lay in it. I was toxic nuclear meltdown shoot on sight to gallente long ago. I worked my ass off to fix that problem. Means exist in game to resolve this, work them.

Or... we could just fix lvl 1 & 2 missions to not be an utter joke....
And then it wouldn't be a 'boring grind'

But hey, lets destroy a section of the game for the sake of a few.

Once Skillpoint trading beds in and all the whiners get over it, CCP will start looking for other things they can monetize. This will come at some point, I'm just suggesting we cut the BS and get to it now.

This suggestion is the tops.

I'd like to see capsuleers also able to extract letters from their name and sell them to other players. This way you can't just change your name, but you could eventually collect and extract enough letters to get a new name you build yourself.

lol... best comment ever.

Though, Chance, I respect your opinion, and I would like you to post a youtube video expressing your opinion on this new buying/selling of SP that CCP is implementing.
