Hey everyone,

To provide a bit of a background, I've wanted to build an EVE app for quite a while now, but the first time I looked at the static data export a couple of years back (IIRC), I was quite discouraged due to the lack of documentation. I finally decided to do a lot of searching and reading about a couple of weeks ago, and this is what I've come up with so far. And I still don't understand the dogma tables completely, but I am getting there (see below).

Few notes about the UI
The skill queue is persistent on all the character management screens. You can tap or drag it up to reveal the character's skill queue as shown in the sixth image. There will be a contextual search feature on all views that require searching for items. The skill plan editor screenshots show an idea of how this will work. As for the fitting tool, I'm starting to get a handle on the dogma tables, but it's a very slow process and I cannot say for sure when I will have something ready. I am estimating about 2 to 3 weeks but I'm hoping it will be sooner.

Since I figure it will take quite a while before I get to a point where I can consider the app complete (at least skill plan, fitting tool, wallet journal/transactions, and industry jobs monitoring), so to speak, I'm considering publishing an early alpha build in about 48 to 72 hours. If you're interested in testing early release, you can join the private alpha Google+ community at https://plus.google.com/communities/117632525173332060725

Note that there will still be quite a number of bugs and usability issues, so all feedback will be considered. I am also taking feature requests, so if there's any functionality you'd like to see, feel free to reply.

I like where this application is going. I can't fully replace Evanova for me due to my ability to check my Personal Assets, check my various ships' fittings, and etc. This has potential tho. Donation sent.

One small note for now. The option to have a 'dark' theme for the app would be really lovely. I love Material Design, but all that white can kill the eyes.

I downloaded the APP, put in the API and it imported my char's. But no data shown as it says;

"Jumpgate requires the CharacterInfo permission..."

I have checked the API and all boxes are yellow. Any help?

Does your API key have an expiration date set? Confirm that it doesn't and try to reset the app cache.

This should be fixed with the latest release.

If you haven't updated yet, try this:
1. Open the app's Settings screen
2. Uncheck and recheck the EVE mail notifications option and then close the Settings screen
3. Observe for a few hours to see if you get new mail notifications
