PI and T2 Production

So I am finally getting ready to start my t2 production and looking for input on the following:

PI:
My biggest issue here is learning what makes what and how to set it up effectively across 6 accounts (yes 6 accounts)

Also will PI in High Sec be sufficient enough to start basic t2 production (modules etc) or should I look at setting up in Null which is where I will be heading to mine and so forth in the next 20 days or so. Just saving up cash for a stock pile before I go.

Is there a decent place to find a chart for this that is simplistic and not overly annoying to sort through?

Another aspect of PI I am looking at is fuel for my Rorqual and soon my JF (once I can afford to purchase one)

Moon Reactions:

Now I know moon mining is done only in low/null sec regions. Is it cost effective to do it yourself or would it be easier to just buy the reactions you need?

For example the reaction Hypersynaptic Fibers for t2 crystal production for mining (i am getting tired of buying them and rather just make them when I am running low verse running around gathering them up)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I currently make all the P2 required for my module business in highsec. Planets are poor but modules don't need a lot of PI.

You will need

Construction blocks (lava or plasma) good supply
Superconductors (storm) good supply
Transmitters (lava) fair supply
Miniature Electronics (lava) poor supply
Mechanical Parts (barren) poor supply

That's basically it for modules. This article will show how to make them: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Planetary_Commodities
Watch out for taxes - POCOs change hands a lot and I've seen the tax at one of my planets go from 12% to 30% - generally use the command center launch if tax is over 18% - all my planets are within a couple of jumps of my base.

I don't believe that you can realistically make your own moon material. I make my own advanced components but buy the advanced moon material in Jita. Again, building modules, you won't need a huge amount.

Thanks thats the best PI chart I have seen tbh.

As for PI in high sec thats awesome. With 6 accounts should produce well enough to keep a float...reason I am thinking of doing PI in High Sec is the issue of sitting in a ship capable of hauling in the middle of Null lol...not the wisest idea...plus what I do bring out of Null will be filling the JF regularly and wont have alot of extra room. I rather it be full of minerals that are worth alot verse PI products that cost me fuel.

Yeah I was thinking buying the moon materials would be the better option all along unless I get lucky when I move to null and get to set up a POS on a decent moon for my Rorqual to hide in. Which would keep that investment safe and produce money for itself.

Either way I think this is what I been looking for in the way of information. Much appreciated.

The problem with moon mining in null isn't safety - at least if you're part of a strong alliance. The R8 and R32 are not evenly distributed so no region is self sufficient. The hub and spoke system with Jita at the center is the most efficient way for the moon material market to work.

explains in great detail why you will actually loose money when making your own (mining) crystals.

it's generally a bad idea to try and make your own PI for production

first and foremost, you won't be able to gather nearly enough to sustain even a single character building things.

second, prices for T2 stuff vary. a lot actually. some modules might not be profitable for quite a while, and you won't be able to quickly react to that if you insist on using your own PI stuff.

your PI should be focussed on what's easy (and profitable) to make with the planets you have available locally.

your production business should focus on what's actually profitable to make with materials bought from the market.

oh, and another thing: jump fuel doesn't come from PI, it comes from ice mining.
